The world is now in a period of geopolitical peace and stability which could preserved for a long time with a little effort. There are no international wars going on. There are civil wars here and there -- Yemen, Syria, Colombia off and on, etc. -- but none that threaten to spread beyond the borders of the country of origin. It is unlikely any of us will live to see such massive conflicts as periodically afflicted the 20th Century, and very few countries are likely to have revolutions in our lifetimes, and those few revolutions, again, will not spread beyond the country of origin. Both world wars and global revolutions are off the table.

No paradigm-shifting technological changes are visible on the horizon either. Nanotech and strong AI and mind uploading are still a long way off. We can spend decades just working out the full implications of the Information Age. Human presence in space will increase, but very slowly and gradually.

The only thing out there to relieve the boredom is likely to be climate change.

Ironically, I thought this was going to be about Elon Musk landing another contract for one of his tunnels...

This is not a serious person. All is hunky dory, nothing out there to see folks except the climate.

I understand why you would pretend to be blind to the fact that the Red Chinese are openly preparing for war with Taiwan and the United States. Your anti-Americanism is palpable

fucking NIGGER

What are you basing that on?

And, why would they? You don't go to war with your trading partners.

One thing that has faded as a factor in the course of human events is ideology, which seemed so important in the 20th Century. Even Islamist extremism is something we don't hear much about lately. People the world over appear to have lost faith in the transformative power of ideas.

If the Chinese do have any expansionist ambitions, they are driven by nationalism, not Communism.

Paranoid personalities do tend to make for decent military officers. Though they often need a steadying hand.

LOL!!! That's about the most out of touch with reality shit I've seen you post so far.

If you're bored you might want to try working.

Especially since you and the other "bored" people are the ones crying about how unfair it is the people who are busting their ass's have more than you do....waahahhhhhhaaaaaa!!!

Head shot. ^^

Not being a CCP shill or total retard.

They already have, trade is battle.

The phrase "Red Chinese" sounds like something out of the 1960s.

Accurate today as it was then.

Those are not exclusive things and it is communism they want to force.

Much like you, other authoritarian control freaks also have the pathological need to force their politics down everyone's throat at gunpoint and have TOTAL inability to live and let live.

Has the penny finally dropped that NATO is a good thing?

Apparently someone has not read the bible...NOW is the time to worry for our planet and rising oceans are the least of our concern.
