The Borgias is based on Historical fact and some licentious fiction. In reality Lucrezia Borgia was indeed married at the age of thirteen, but I felt that age might be offensive to some readers sensibilities. Although in the modern day such activities are illegal, and quite rightly so, it would be arrogant to assume that it has always been so.
In the interest of modest decency I have therefore raised Lucrezia’s age to 15 at the start of this thread. If people are uncomfortable with this I don’t apologise, I simply suggest they don’t read it. As I mentioned in the OOC thread this is a ‘risqué’ story thread and full of taboos. I hope the participants and readers of this thread to realise this is a fictional biography drawing on key facts from history to provide the framework.
