Just a few days ago, lavender and I were talking about just that. I think I've lost that newbie perspective. I've just become so used to the board that no one sticks out. Certainly, I have good friends but most of the 'big guns' the newbies see are just my friends, or at least good associates.

In other words, I don't know.

who are the big guns?

Why, thats easy to find out. All you have to do is watch what happens when some new asshole shows up being rude and stiring shit. the big guns handle them with wit, class, and intelligence. they often have a fine cutting way about them too.

Or someone needs some good advice/help really bad real fast.

and the number of postings under their name helps some, but not always.

i must say by and large the so called big guns on this board in the time i have posted here seem to be some of the finest people in the world. i would like to meet them in real life.

As the guy who'se "big gun" comment appears front and center at the top of that link, I feel the need to explain something, that I know didn't come across in that post.

I don't think in any way that anyone here is unapproachable. In fact, many of you are very approachable and, as I get more comfortable in a new neighborhood, I'll do my share of approaching.

I have online infatuations aplenty, and at some point, I'll probably let those folks knwo who they are.

But in now way do I think those folks who are just voluminous posters and have been here a while, who have something cogent to say, who are witty, innovative, clever, and damned smart - the "big guns" - are not approachable. In fact, I feel just the opposite.

There. I'm done now. I"m just sorry I said the whole thing in the beginning.

We've done a lot of ass kissing, licking, and fingering, and fucking threads here and the general consensus, with a few holdouts, is that everyone loves it. I'll give you a few links to good ass-kissing threads when the SEARCH function is working properly again.

Means it touched a nerve, allowed people to give voice to things they'd not, perhaps, had a place to say before your thread. *No one* (that i know of) ever harbors ill-feelings toward people who begin such animated discussions; on the contrary - we *like* such thing here.
