A President is supposed to work on behalf of the American people to better all of their lives. A criminal mastermind works on his own behalf to increase his wealth and power at the expense of those around him. That doesn't sound like the same thing to me.

It can, however, lead to the same end result if done by the same person since bettering oneself at the expense of the American people would fit within the parameters of a criminal enterprise while also being the basis for Presidential incompetency.

On the other hand, believing that a criminal mastermind would be a good President ranks right up there with booking a VR vacay and thinking you're going to actually leave home.
