- The Beatles (IMHO) made the best use of melody, inventive harmonies, and rhythmic variations of any rock band
- The Beatles had Ringo as their drummer. (What more can one say?!)

Bite your tongue! I realize that people are entitled to an opinion...but you make those of us who are fans sound braindead cuz we like them--and those who are not fans are someone worth listening to cuz they like some "obscure band"....

I dont know if the Beatles are the best band ever, I do think that their music continued to evolve from the early pop stuff to something with a little more substance. I mean theres a big difference in going from Meet the Beatles to Sgt Peppers or Abbey Road.
