I admit I would enjoy it more if we didn't have a President trying to destroy it.

In my neck of America you can't throw a dead cat without hitting the grave of a veteran of the Revolution. So I will celebrate in their honor. And hope the destruction of all they fought for will end soon.

I was dismayed to hear that Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani won't be sworn in until the afternoon of January 1st, 2026.

With PB extremist Dumborilla yammering about how Mayor Mamdani wanting to throw queers like himself off of buildings for violating Sharia law,

I wanted to suggest using New Years Eve to give the ceremonial boot to Dumborilla from the top of Times Square instead. "Operation Dumbo Drop"!

But no, we have to do the jingoistic red white 'n blue ball thing instead.

Having said that, I can understand your excitement.
Year after year, at midnight on New Years, you see the same white balls over and over.
This year, however, features colored balls for the very first time.
We all can see how much that thrills you.
