The Avengers comes out on Friday

i want to see it, but it's joss whedon. sometimes he's great and other times i want to beat him with a brick.

There's round-the-clock shows here and they're pretty much sold out. I'd like to catch a morning show on Sunday, but probably will actually see it Monday night.

Saw it today, thought it was pretty damn good, and there are a couple of laugh out loud moments thrown in to slightly offset all the big booms going off.

This is true. But reviews are glowing so far.

we'll see. i heard a good review on npr today, but the dude giving it was such a dork that i just kind of tuned him out. also, mark ruffalo as the hulk (well, bruce) makes me nervous. i like the guy, but i'll have to see it to believe it.

Lots of dork reviews for this one.

But:

Fresh = 155
Rotten = 13

(Source: Rottentomatoes.com)

That's an excellent result out of 168 reviews. And there's a lot of hard nuts to crack in that crowd.

I'm passing I've got several issues with the movie. It's cool they did it but I'm pissed there's no Ant Man/Giant Man or Wasp. I hage even more that they don't seem to give Hawkeye his cool costume. The only reason I'm remotely interested is because its got Loki.

Ima have to pirate it... I have no money and no one to go with. I'd have paid to, if I had either of those things. I'll spend good money just to look at Thor or Tony for 2 hours, but both of them? I'm sold.

Yeah, it is missing a lot of characters. I'd like to have seen Wasp & Ant to. But maybe they didn't want to over douche-bag the movie. Tony and Eric in the same movie might have been a little... much...

Just got back from the Marvel Marathon. Spent the whole day in a packed theater, and ended it with a midnight showing of Avengers.

I spent most of the 2 1/2 hours with a big smile on my face, and it was by far the most enthusiastic crowd I've ever seen at a movie. Most fun I've had watching a movie since... maybe forever.

My grandson wants to see this; big Hulk and Iron Man fan.

Thor's pretty cool. What's up with Hawkeye? Doesn't he wear a deep purple costume or something?

The previews didn't look good enough for me to make the effort, but I'll certainly see it at some point.

Now batman on the other hand, that I will try to see day 1.

I'm heading to see it in a few.............been waiting for this movie for a while. :)

I'll be catching Batman, too... but to be honest, the latest trailer is kind of "ehhh."

People seemed more psyched for Spider-Man.

My brother is stoked because his company has worked on the editing for almost two years now. He made the trailers and is on to the supplemental material that will be on the DVD release. My daughter and I will see it soon.
