A pair of fat men, Arkansas death row inmates Jack Jones and Marcel Williams, are supposed to die today. Attorneys are appealing based on their poor health.
Jones suffers from diabetes and is on insulin, has high blood pressure, neuropathy and had one leg amputated below the knee. He's on methadone and gabapentin.
Williams weighs 400 pounds, making it difficult to find a vein for lethal injection.
Based on the mug shots, neither man has missed a meal or a snack in years.
How is it possible for someone on death row to reach or maintain such a weight?
Both Jones and Williams, btw, have admitted they are guilty, though their crimes aren't detailed in the story.
I could care less if the execution doesn't go perfectly because they are a couple of murderous pigs. Plug 'em in and let it flow.

Channelling your inner liberal?

Both committed crimes 20 or more years ago. Both raped, robbed and murdered women, and one (Jones) also beat his victim's 11-year-old daughter, leaving her for dead.

Only the mind of a leftist would claim that someone is too ill to be executed.

How much would you recommend?

My doctor recommends half an hour to an hour of walking a day. Maybe the prison could install a treadmill or a stationary bike in each cell. If the prison cared how fat its inmates are, but why would it?

Maybe a gym membership would be the best option. They could sign out and come back in four or five hours.
To get the most out of their time, maybe the state could spring for personal trainers.

Almost every one of your posts is a question. Apparently you have nothing of interest to say.

All you alt-right fellas have a hard time getting your points across in a clear, concise manner.

I ask questions to ensure I understand what you're bitching about.

I think that's an excellent idea. Let's also make sure they get three squares a day and plenty of tv time while the families of the victims grieve for the rest of their lives.

Shouldn't be receiving calories to achieve those weights. If that weight gain was from prison food and lack of exercise that's cruel and unusual punishment.

Put them all on 2000 calories a day with 1/2 hour of walking the fence line once a day. The English were never healthier than during and just after WWII rationing.

What is a the daily menu in a prison? Gotta be a Lit who knows first hand out there.

I thought all you alt-right fellas were Christians.

Doesn't the bible tell us to forgive and forget?

It must also depend on how much financial support they have to receive outside food such as chips and chocolate.

I say this because I noticed a prison van at the local grocery store several weeks ago. There was a guard buying all kinds of stuff including cigarettes and other tobacco, candy, chips, soaps, etc., and it all went into individual brown paper bags with what was presumably cell numbers on the bags such as K112, Q236.
This is our federal government dollars at work. A $100k van and a $100k/a salaried Canada Corrections officer shopping for inmates in a federal penitentiary.

You will never pin ole Queerbait (or any of his alts) down.

They just executed Jack Jones. He will not be missed. Start fappin' wingnuts.

Whoa there big fella...as I recall (I could be wrong, I'm not Queerbait) virtually every child born during WW2 had stunted growth from lack of nutrition. None of the Beatles hit 6 feet.

Still healthier. Infant mortality went down and life expectancy (aside from war causes) went up.

Well, I don't think any doctor is going to recommend a diet for your children that stunts their growth, regardless of what else it might do.

I was suggesting it for prison inmates.

The ones on death row have little enough to live for. Let them pig out if they want to. If they eat their way into a fatal heart attack, isn't that better than the needle or the chair?

No, its not. Look at delays or possible delays over their shyte health now. Best not to kill but if you're going to do it, do it clean.

Unless there is some profit in over feeding prisoners I would go for the cost savings of feeding them a minimum diet that allows them to be healthy. 3 hots, a cot and access to education all they need.
