A mainstay of the climate alarmist movement is that the melting of the frozen Arctic Sea is a bellwether of anthropogenic climate change. It is a ‘canary in the coalmine’, warning of us of the peril of the impending catastrophe of our own creation. A few years into the new century, satellite measurements of the Arctic’s sea ice extent began to show what appeared to be a precipitous decline. If these trends continued, warned scientists, the Arctic would soon be free of sea ice in the summer. And that, warned population biologists, was a death warrant for the humble polar bear, whose hunting ground would disappear beneath her paws. Children across the planet wept as David Attenborough described the plight of these poor creatures on BBC natural history documentaries. But this week, it turns out to be that mainstay which is melting at a much faster rate than the ice. The climate debate is changing, and it is the unhumble climate scientists and activists that are in danger of extinction through embarrassment.

In the Guardian this week, environment editor Damian Carrington reports on a new scientific study published in Geophysical Research Letters. “The melting of sea ice in the Arctic has slowed dramatically in the past 20 years, scientists have reported, with no statistically significant decline in its extent since 2005,” he wrote.

The fact that it slowed in the last 20 years is a direct result of the clean air act of 1970, and other historic global efforts pushed forward before morons of MAGA, started the divide in the country as far back as Reagan’s toxic policies. The battle to save upper level ozone while attacking lower level ozone, the green house gasses from carbon emission and high volatile organic compounds, have slowed, not ended the climate battle, while still more environmental scientists from around the world still say too little too late.

The ocean temp has increased 1°C every few years, becoming more alkaline each year, creating the absorption of heat easier leading to massive storms the wreck the coasts and inland, deeper each year.

Ignorant posts based on bs about climate is such a cry for attention.

Here's the summary:

Over the last 20 years, the decline of Arctic sea ice has slowed down substantially. Climate models (from CMIP5 and CMIP6) show that pauses in sea ice loss across multiple decades can happen, even as greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise. When we compare the current slowdown to similar pauses in model simulations, we see that it could plausibly continue for another five to 10 years, although the same slowdown makes a faster-than-average sea ice decline more likely in the coming years. Most of the evidence from these climate models suggests that natural climate variations have played a large part in slowing the human-driven loss of sea ice. However, it is not entirely certain whether changes in the human influence on climate (the “forced response”) have also contributed. Overall, while it may sound surprising that Arctic sea ice loss has slowed down even as global temperatures hit record highs, the climate modeling evidence suggests we should expect periods like this to occur somewhat frequently.
