It is always there, just beyond reach.
So far away that I can't see,
but yet so close that I can describe the details.
At times, it mixes in with my reality,
changing it from the world I have grown in.
Fleshing out, it penetrates my deepest fears
and brings them out to light.
No one can see this, not as well as I, at least.
Its eyes make me feel as though I'm drowning.
The cruel smirk fills me up with anger.
But at who, at what?
Not even I can answer that.
The answer is there, I know it.
Just beyond my finger tips.
The answer is there,
behind those drowning eyes.
The answer is there,
right there.
Just staring back from the mirrored reflection.
Yet, I can never tell what it is.
The answer.

I would love some critique. I feel as though something is missing, but I can't feel what it is.

Is there some reason why it's all centred? it looks like a flower and to my mind that image doesn't go with the poem
