The on-land drive is just a launching mechanism but the water craft has to drag the trailer replacement around with it. The above surface viewing could be done better, and far cheaper, from an open boat. The below surface viewing could be replaced by a clear floor to the open boat. How would those below communicate with those above? "You're heading for a rock!" "Sorry? What was that?" Crunch! Gurgle, gurgle...
