I like the plan... I hate the sirens they use on the radio... I swear... the alert is 2 minutes long before they start speaking and explaining everything.

Someone I know complained that the Highway signs made traffic slow down to 55mph. I said, "So fucking what?" This system is actually Goddamned working. Do you know how amazng that is?

A few days ago here a four-year-old latina girl disappeared from a park where she was with her parents and her five-year-old brother. The brother was supposed to be watching her, and told police that he might have seen her fall into the lake.
The police decided not to implement an Amber Alert, and concentrated on searching the lake with divers instead (although they were still following the possibility of a kidnapping). The family cried racism, stating that if the girl was white, there would be an Amber Alert in place.
A day later, a woman (now a suspect) brought the little girl to a local clinic. She had been kidnapped after all. Oh boy...

But I am glad that the system is working so well. As someone with 3 young daughters, I would hope that it would work as well for me if I ever needed it.

I'm with you and DCL on this one.... anyone that would harm the kiddies deserves a slow, drawn out unmerciful death. Anyone that would do harm to one of my children might soon find out what a big game animal feels like after being gutted and skinned....alive!
These kinds of sick fucks should never be allowed to make it to prison.

About the 4 year old girl in Echo Park: What were her parents thinking, letting her wander off with her 5 year old brother? Are they terminally stupid? Both children are too young to be let wander around like that.
It's similar to parents who set their kids down in front of a TV in a store, and go shopping. They're not fucking thinking! You never leave your kids somewhere like that. You had 'em, you take care of 'em! Christ, some people are morons. Your kids are the most precious things in your life. You don't just set them down somewhere and walk off. Let alone expect them to still be there when you finally wander back.

I agree with you a hundred percent. also parents should never leave there kids in a car alone its just not safe. there are alot of sickos out there and you never know who it is.
