**Backstory and notes**
Alyssa Hartley moved to Thorn City a couple of weeks prior after receiving not only an acceptance letter from H.P. Lovecraft College, but also directions to the city since it was oddly not on any map as well as a nice apartment reduced price. Thinking it was some sort of scam, her parents decided to go with her when it was time to tour the college. It turned out that the city existed as well as the school and the apartment where she would be staying. It was during this time, she met two couples that she quickly became friends with. Their names are: Emily, Brigg, Samhain and Eva.
Emily- Is a fairy and is majoring in fashion design. (A college freshmen)
Brigg- Is a werewolf that is majoring in business, but has a shot possibly playing for the NFL due to being the star quarter back for the college (4th year student and about to be graduating)
Samhain- is believe it or not a good demon whose passion is music. He is the singer for a heavy metal band and eventually wants to be a music teacher.
Eva- is a gothic mad scientist and is majoring in science.
(They all meet her in human form and try to keep their forms a secret from her as well as other people in the city with the exception of a group that is determined to either convert or kill humans that are moving into the city in order to keep up with tradition while the mayor wants to make peace with humans)
Seeing how friendly the city is as well as glad that their daughter is making friends after all the trouble she was having in high school, they agree that the city would be great for her.
Upon arrival, she gets to talk more with her friends who show her around and even help her land a job at a coffee shop. They warn her of the dangers of the city at night and how she needs to call them when she makes it home or if she has car trouble to call them. They do not go into detail not wanting to scare off their new human friend.
During the first week, she met Dorian Lorenzo, a wealthy student who is actually a vampire. Though during the time being, he is secretive about this. The first date went fine, but the second date he becomes easily jealous and very possessive especially when she meets a detective who was appointed by the mayor to help make sure she was able to close the shop up safely and lock up.

It had been a few months since I moved to Thorn City and things have been rather bitter sweet. I had a boyfriend, but the relationship went really sour when he began accusing me of fucking the nice detective that had been staying to help me close up the coffee shop. Dorian tried to force himself on me claiming that he was marking me as his own. I managed to escape though I almost thought I wasn't considering how oddly strong he was. I was bruised up a bit. I told my friends of the incident and showed them the bruises. It was sad and upsetting considering Dorian seemed to be a sweet guy, but I could not take my chances.
"Let me know if he tries anything again, and I will take care of it." Brigg said, "To be honest, I never really trusted that punk, but at the time you seemed happy so I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Just let me know and he will be dealt with."
Eva told me that he had tried making advances on her the first time that she met him. Luckily, she was with Samhain, so he made sure that Dorian never laid a hand on her. Samhain replied, "Yeah, I beat the hell out of that fucker when he tried to break me and Evie up.". Emily even caught him trying to spy on girls in the dorms on the campus. Like Brigg, she tried to see if he was capable of being a good person when he was around me.
"If I were you, I would be very careful." Emily added, "I thought that he was just lonely, but make sure you keep your blinds closed due to his history of being a creeper."
It was not long before I started receiving a lot of phone calls and texts from Dorian begging and pleading for me to come back to him. All of them, I told him no and that he needed to leave me alone. He was soon following me and would send me pictures through my phone of me working, talking with the nice detective, or heading back to the apartment. His messages were getting angrier everything from accusing me of being fucked by the detective, Brigg, or Samhain which was of course not going on. One, I did not believe in fucking my friends' boyfriends. Two, when did I have the time during him stalking me. I let my co-workers know so that I would not be working shifts alone. I even informed the detective of what was going on so he made sure that I made it to my car safely because I did not want my co-workers risking their lives if Dorian decided to go further. I admit the detective was very handsome and we did have some playfully flirtatious conversations after my break up with Dorian.
Feeling stressed, my friends convinced me to go with them to a party in order to relax. It was nice to meet a lot more people and to dance. Since I moved to Thorn City, the reception had been a very warm one with everyone I met with the exception of Dorian. Even the mayor, greeted me on my first day and asked if there was anything I needed to let him know. However, as I was dancing. I felt Dorian's cold grasp on my shoulders and his breath in my ear. His hands moved to my breasts over the tight pink t-shirt I was wearing. He started forcing me to go up stairs.
"I am not interested in going back out with you, Dorian." I warned, "I suggest that you leave me alone. Let me go!"
I tried to look for my friends, but they were in some sort of confrontation from what I could see out the window with several thuggish looking guys. Two of the goons had Emily and Evie while the others surrounded the guys. An intense fight broke out. I heard a very loud howl.
I tried to message the detective, but strangely my phone lost its connection. He forced me to face him and my eyes met his. I thought that he had some sort of Halloween contacts in considering his eyes were ruby red. I tried to break my gaze because something did not feel right, but couldn't. His gaze was locked on mine. I felt trapped inside of my mind as he led me to the bedroom. A tear slid down my cheek.
