I figured that what with everyone ranting and raving about not a lot that there should be a thread in which to post positive thoughts and experiences.

Primarily about but not necessarily limited to Lit. So, for example, you get a nice PM - tell people here. Something on Lit made you laugh ditto. You get a new job ditto. You see something negative and you want to bump something positive to the top ditto.

OK I think you all get the idea - let's give it a go:D

a person on lit who is always nice and polite to me, who makes me smile and who gives me the feeling that im something special for a few minutes. thank you, you make me feel good. :)

Halo :rose:

I'll add my own

All you Lit people who have been so nice to me and those who've made me smile time and again. It really is a great place.:D

I love coming here to lit for the same reason,Van. I can always count on something to make me smile and/or laugh.

To all those that I speak with in Private Messaging, thanks for making me smile, and thanks for putting up with my endless chatter. :)

Endless chatter? Always fun, always nice and always a delight. You're welcome any time.

What's wonderful about Lit is that people are here for you no matter what you are going through........If you are happy, they are rejoicing with you .........If you are going through something painful, they are there to boost you up and lend the much needed support.

I haven't seen it this widespread anywhere else...........thanks everyone, you are fantastic!:rose:

Thank you, Van. Always the gentleman. :)

dang it..;)

Now what did you go and start a nice thread like this for, Van?
OK, seriously.....people like you I am 'positive' make Lit a better place.
There's plenty of people here that make coming back to Lit day after day a fun experience.
I've been told I am 'positively' a sweetheart. So sweet, I cause other's to have toothaches! I've tried to change this image several times and have failed....so I guess what other's say must be right. :D I have no choice but to continue to smile and brighten other's day.......and thank everyone at Lit that has the same effect on me.;)

Well, I have a friend out there in litdom who pm's me about once a week, checking in. We have never chatted or phoned each other, but I know, if I ever needed help, he is a phone call away.

Also, I love mingling with intelligent people, which describes most lit members. Most are open minded and articulate. These qualities are not easily found in rural America.

:D

I have met some truly wonderful people here.

I've made some wonderful friends here at Lit.
And met one very special person.
This is a truly great place...I never dreamed of such a good feeling of community online...I love it here.:)

Thank you VanB for the thread.

Thanks to Lit I met a best friend.......Though it was a rocky road to friendship. it sure was worth it......

I was also fortunate to find my heart..........;) :rose:

I'll be sentimental now. I just went outside and checked my mail, and in the mail was a beautiful card of friendship from Juicylips!
If it weren't for Lit I may have never met her. I couldn't ask for a better best friend.:)

Van,

This is such a thoughtful thread. It's always nice to take time and remember the simple joys - the things that made us stop and smile. I received a lovely PM from someone whom I was concerned about this evening. It was nice to be able to reach out to someone and let them know you are there for them - especially when you understand exactly what they are going through.

Enchanted

I second that, Enchanted.......

I have found that if I reach out when I am in pain to help someone else, it helps me to heal. I was so flattered to have a thread started tonight with a quote from my email. There are just so many wonderful people here.........I am so lucky to have been brought here............

An entry into the Not-Part-of-Lit Good Thing category:

Just a down at the end of my street is one of those old, no-longer-used railway lines that criss-cross everyone's landscape, rural, suburban and urban. A few years ago, my county turned about 35 miles of it into a regional walking trail.

I've spent the last few days taking long walks on that thing with my dog, Chloe. (She's a giant sized night-black standard poodle so she gets to have a fru-fru name even if she's not a fru-fru dog.) The part of the trail near my house winds vineyards (just beginning to come into leaf) and apple orchards (where some of last year's apples still hang as spots of withered red amid the leafless branches) and stands of giant redwood trees.

The trail is gorgeous and private and safe.
I think i'll continue the walks.
Both Chloe and i seem to derive a lot of benefit from the quiet time.

Cym.. we have almost the same thing here.. an area that they took the old railroads out and are putting in a 3.5 mile walk. So far 1.5 miles is complete. On one side you have the river.. the other side nothing but trees. It's beautiful.. along the path they have signs.. interaptive signs.. that have you look around and identify things.. they point out the kind of wildlife living there and the kinds of trees. Hubby walks the dogs daily there.. I've decided it was time for me to go also.

Today I went.. didn't want to leave.. but reality set in and I had to go home.

Cym.. will you take a walk with me? :)

*hugs*

Cym is one of the best things that happened to me on Lit..

I only wish we could have met in real life.. taken a long walk.. had a long talk.. I would have treasured that. Her wit.. her wisdom.. something I only dream of having..

if this print were any finer it'd be the idea behind this thread

My brother just told me this week that he's going to Scotland for a week with a day in Iceland & he's bringing me along at his expense. We go in a month.:)

Such a wonderful trip couldn't happen to a finer person, P1.
Take pics. Show us everywhere you went and everything you did when you get back.

Go on and be sentimental, SR!! I can take it..but only in small doses such as this. You know I hate this kind of stuff.:D Every word on that card was meant.

As for Lit,
What you see on the boards is only a very, very small fraction of what happens with pms, emails and chattting with some pretty fantastic people here. There is always a smile, a laugh or some hot sex just waiting around the corner;) No better place to be.

Cassidy:kiss:

When I wake up on a weekend morning the first sound I hear are the birds chirping outside my window, with my hubby to cuddle up to I snooze again, content in his company, knowing I am a lucky person and loved.

:rose:

The Lit good thing for today - Summerrose's new AV - just beautiful SR

The-not-lit-good-thing England crucified Ireland in the rugby international today and I was there to watch it. I'm now quite, quite drunk but very happy:)
