  • acxed (asked)
  • conversating (God I hate this one! It makes my skin crawl when I hear it.)
  • Herted (as in "Hey man why did you hit me? That hurted!")
What brought this on? I heard one of these offending words on a T.V. program I was just watching. The girl didn't say it just once or even twice. She must have said it at least 5 times in the time frame of a minute... Argh!
Ok so here's my question....
What words just make you go insane when you hear them?

Holy Bible - 2Jo 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Hopefully I'm reading the theme wrong, but I'm sorry if I"m not Mistressastra.

I know what you mean, perversion of sexuality is fine, but I can't stand perversion of English, irregardless [sic].

Oh, and when they say cum. LOL... I don't know why, but I just can't stand it when someone says that. In my opinion, it's come... you made me come so hard. Using his wildly arousing tongue to bathe my throbbing and aching clit, I came intensely.

See the difference? ;)

Well... I'll admit that come is easier to put in the past tense than cum. But in print, there could be some ambiguity about the action actually accomplished.

I agree with you. But when you cyber... you have to rely on the other person to tell you the truth.

Hey baby, did you cum? Oh yeah you stud muffin you, I came so hard! It just doesn't go together. LOL...

I'm so glad that someone else hates the "acxed" pronounciation as much as I do!

Other bastardisations that I loathe are:

* "Brunged" - instead of brought...

* " lended" - instead of loaned...

I'm also not particularly fond of "howzit"...I always think of pimples for some reason. :rolleyes:

But I'll stop. Honest! I promise I will! Please, please forgive me! :D
