Reported. Also, please delete this post as well.

Also, how curious that Tefler, an author with a history of bullying other writers on this site, has a fan (with zero forum posts prior to today) who thinks this was a good way to respond to other people having differring opinions.

Are you joking? I'll repost part of what I said to help those with perspicacity issues: "...organized three story events, each of which was extremely successful and rallied many fantastic authors to participate who wouldn’t have otherwise published."

If you don't think that getting authors to publish when they otherwise wouldn't is influential, you may want to invest in a dictionary.

I'm one though. I began reading his story some time ago and quit after several chapters. Something about his characters and his style of writing does not fit my tastes.
Then again, I'm not much of a mainstream follower.

How's that jealousy doing for you? Making life worth living?

I'm not mad. You gotta do what you gotta do. When you lack skills and can't compete with other people, throw shade at your betters. It's sad, but hopefully for you it's an effective means of coping with your insignificance.

Calm down and go to another category and nominate someone for an award.

I'm completely calm and I have nominated someone in another category.

Is that your bag? You take time from hating on your betters to offer advice on nomination activities?

I think the issue of organizing contests is besides the point. Chloe is a terrific writer who draws the attention of other writers to her own work through her talent, and deserves nomination regardless of any other criteria.

Please use this thread to discuss Lit nominees and awards.

Posts that are disparaging to nominees or other users, arguing amongst participants, and any off-topic negativity will be removed.

Repeat offenders or new accounts which appear to have been created with the intention of attacking others will have their nominations removed and possibly forum accounts banned.

Other than that, discuss away! :rose:

Would it be alright to ask what happened to the 2017 awards? Nominations were made, but then....nothing.

I'm not sure how it can be besides the point when the category is "influential writer" and she is actively recruiting and encouraging writers to publish and is supporting their efforts to do so.

It is besides the point in that she'd be remarkably influential without doing any of that.

Those will take place at a later date, as will 2018 - after we are caught up. :rose:

Why don't you just nominate and move on? I don't see any point in judging who others have voted for. Seems incredibly petty, and I don't even know you. Let's drop it here.

Speaking of votes, mine is for HDK. Harddaysknight is one of the most influential writers of all time. He is a Literotica OG. Deserves a win.

Why don’t you not try to tell me what to do, bub?

How am I judging who he nominated? I agreed with him.

I think you misinterpretted what Melissa was saying. Also, Melissa was mostly responding to some douchebag whose posts have already been deleted, so if the conversation seems disjointed that's why.

The forum is not a place most people venture. It took me years to come here. Don't worry about Tefler.

As we do every year, we are directing readers from the story side to come here to vote. Many readers do not have a Lit forum account - or any type of Lit login. Some only have an account because they made one for voting in a previous year.

A user coming here only to vote is not evidence of fraud or malfeasance.

These awards exist to raise up the authors who readers enjoy. They do not exist to tear down authors other people might enjoy.

Let's keep this fun and positive.

Thanks, everyone! :rose:

It's weird how I get accused of things I've never done.

I've been nothing but encouraging of new writers that have contacted me and I never leave negative comments after anyone else's work. How that translates into a "history of bullying other writers" is totally beyond me.

I won a couple of these awards a few years ago and it was really uplifting, knowing that fans appreciated my work enough to vote for my story and characters. I say good luck to everyone that's been nominated!
