Yes, Tiger is running away with it. So if that keeps up, and does anyone really think it won't, maybe we'll just spend our time here marvelling at Tiger.

Either way, here's the thread. Let's tee off on the subject.

Ha yourself.:D

He's coming up on the green now...

Ohhh looks like he's got the big guns out now...

He's approaching and he hits it and...

YES!!!

Another Brilliant FIRST POST!

If Harrington beats Tiger today, tomorrow could be interesting. But if Harrington fades and Tiger posts in the 60s, it's all over. I'd like to see Sergio make a charge, but he's got pussy on his brain right now.

Colin Montgomrey CHOKES again:D Its Tigers to lose...........

more like sergio's acting like a pussy. He's complaining about everything.

Its a beautiful sunny day outside...................................and I'm currantly reclined on the couch.........drinkin a beer.........and watchin the best golfer in the world kick butt. Tiger is a different class of golfer........you gotta believe with his lead he's gonna win it...........gotta go..........time for a refill.

Hey, fucktards, the U.S. Open is not the Ryder club.

These people shouting USA at the foreign players aren't golf fans. This kind of behavior is an embarrassment, and those jerks would be quietly escorted off the course if this was the Augusta National. It's sad to see something so special to be reduced to a hockey match.

At last...a TRUE golf fan. The behaviour of some are absolutly disgusting. As I write this...Sergio is suffering from "cat calls". I hope he closes down on Tiger, just to make it a decent contest...both he and Lefty need to get a couple of shots closer.
As much as I admire Tiger, and I do..I want to see Sergio or Lefty take him on.

As for the comment of leading them quietly away....I would say Expose them on TV...shame them ..make their faces public....but they are probably that thick skinned, they would revel in the attention.

Back to the 17th.

The zoo will be out in full force tomorrow. Especially if Tiger and Sergio are paired together.

It's looking that way....and I will-hopefully- be back from my golf to watch it. It's going to be a tough fight to get back the 3 shot lead (at time of writing) back from Tiger though.

Will Sergio have the game to do it? I hope so.

I agree.......but,

You obviously don't have much experience with New Yorkers! If you put their ugly mugs on TV to "shame" them, you will have to extend coverage until September to get everyone of eight million assholes on the screen! New Yorkers are the singular most obnoxious, rude, crude, ignorant fucknozzels that ever walked the "land of the free". Sad part is, they are proud of it, they think it's what makes them "cool"!

My prediction, this will be the last US Open near NYC for a LONG time!

Rhumb:rolleyes:

Golf Fans?

How can Golf Fans call themselves that when they say personal things about wives, girlfriends and Mothers of the golfers?
I have just watched Sergio's press conference...and it's fucking disgusting to hear that some elements of the crowd have been making obscene comments about Martina Hingess (sp?).

Sergio showed great composure though and I wish him all the best for the "ZOO CREATURES" tomorrow!

The gap is opening though.....4 shots behind and the 18th to play for Tiger.

Rhumb...you are so correct..I have never met a New Yorker! I am English and living, thankfully as it appears from your comments, on the other coast in CA.
In the UK, as I am sure you know, we have our "soccer hooligans" and when they are shamed..they are also barred from EVERY soccer ground and banned from going abroad, passports confiscated...an idea for the so-called Golf fans?
(Yes..I do live in a Perfect World lol)

I am glad the Ryder Cup is over the Pond this year!!

I just turned it on,you are so right, the fans are an embarrassment to the game of golf.

Indeed.

Although last I saw, the pack was closing in on Tiger. It could be interesting after all.

Well...Time for the Zoo Keepers

Okayyy...it's going to happen...Tiger and Sergio are out together.

4 shots though? I don't think Sergio can do it. Tiger won't be taking on risky shots, he'll be playing for Pars....which means Sergio had got to get 5 birdies to take the cup. On a normal course, yes he could..but on Black Beth? Nahhh...

Sergio seems to thrive in that environment. It's hard to bet against Tiger with a lead, but no one has ever played a good final round against him in a major. What ever happens, it's going to be entertaining.

Agreed...100%.

I don't think he has lost a Major going into the final round with a lead...and to bet against it? No way Jose!

I would like to see someone CHALLENGE Tiger in the way that Johnny Miller,Tom Watson and a few others challenged Nicklaus. Someone who could stay with him and apply pressure. It would make things so much more interesting.

well, sergio did it 3 years ago in the PGA Championship at Medinah. Maybe he can do it again. He'll need a fast start though, coming out 4 back.

Hey, hockey matches ARE special. No need to try to cheapen on sport to praise another one.

I agree with you about the idiocy of the U-S-A chants, although i like the fan enthusiasm, in general. As long as they're not derisive, profane or focusing negative stuff on one man, I think an enthusiastic gallery is a good thing. Augusta is Augusta. Every place can't be like that and I don't want every place to be like that.

New York has a lot of assholes and a lot of good people, as well. I have been to many sporting events in the new york area and found many ny fans to be quite pleasant. The place has its idiots, to be sure but let us not start painting with such a wide brush.

he hasn't. In fact, he hasn't lost a Major when leading after 36 holes.

The course is kicking ass with the early groups. Appleby made the turn at -2. He's the only one under par.

Still 3 hours till Tiger Time.

well, garcia shot off his mouth and now he has his chance. No excuses today. No complaining. Let's see what he can produce. Will he, or anyone else, put the pressure on Tiger? What will Tiger himself produce today?

Yesterday, the field got close and Tiger stepped right up immediately, as he always seems to. Will today's final round be different?
