Hey kids... This is the point where YOU get to recognize those stories and authors that have changed your life! Here's how it works: there's a thread for each of 20 categories. Place your nominations on the appropriate thread, along with (if you feel like explaining) the reason you think it deserves such an honor.

After January 7, 1999, we will close the threads, tally up your nominations, and from those we will pick 4 top candidates for each of the 20 categories. We will then set up a voting page where you can select your final choice. The winners will be announced on the BB. Good luck, all! Vote early & often! (Just kidding on the often bit!)

I would like to nominate Kip Carson's story, Xena the Warrior Princess.

Yes... you can nominate up to three different suggestions. However, when we do the actual voting, you can only vote once, and our script is damn good at catching cheats!

Ah, I did not know that, wahoo!

For the record: I elaborated on my nominations for the purpose of helping to expose some work to others unfamiliar with it. Give them a reason to 'get' familiar with it. This seems like a real good place to praise those who've earned it (another thread seems a disjointed approach to me). I hope that's acceptable. If not - I'll stop elaborating. (As long as it's clear I'm not pumping my opinion - I'm pumping praise. Big difference).

I can understand why 'discussion' shouldn't take place along the thread, but some comments within the same post seemed warranted to me. Cool?

Every Dog has his Day

I think the ending makes the whole story amazing!

Bryan D's Laundry Room and Apartment complex stories...and it has nothting to do with the fact that I'm just like "Todd."
