‘We will WIN’: Trump launches new attack on ‘vicious’ John McCain and The Atlantic

Donald Trump kicked off his Saturday morning on Twitter by launching a broadside at the reporter who exposed his “losers” and “suckers” comments about U.S. military dead as well as taking a shot at the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ).

With the White House reeling from the report in The Atlantic, the president is once again lashing out at the report that may have driven a wedge between him and his supporters in the military.

According to the president, “You work so hard for the military, from completely rebuilding a depleted mess that was left by OBiden, to fixing a broken V.A. and fighting for large scale military pay raises, and then a slimeball reporter, maybe working with disgruntled people, makes up such a horrible charge,” he wrote before adding, “This reminds me of the Dirty Dossier, which was pushed hard by John McCain, & then with a thud turned out to be a total fraud. So many other scams also. The Radical Far Left is VICIOUS, they will do or say anything to win. But they won’t, we will WIN, & have four great years!”

Maybe if he wasn't such a fucking asshole he wouldn't be reported as being such a fucking asshole? :)

Trump’s future now at the mercy of Mattis and Kelly if they speak out on ‘loser’ comments

In a column for the Daily Beast, former Republican Matt Lewis said Donald Trump’s re-election campaign might survive the fallout from his comments about captured and killed American military personnel, where he called them “losers” and ‘suckers,” unless Generals James Mattis and John Kelly decide to go public and reveal what they heard.

As Lewis — who left the GOP due to Trump — notes, the president has survived a multitude of scandals starting back to before he was elected but the disparagement of the troops may be a bridge too far for even his most ardent supporters who consider themselves patriotic Americans.

Writing, “In a sane world, this revelation, on its face, would be devastating for Trump’s re-election chances,” Lewis points out, “the sad truth is that no revelation will matter to conservatives who have already rationalized their Trump support for a variety of reasons, including the premise that this is a tribalistic world and Trump might be a sonofabitch, but he’s our sonofabitch.”

Well Generals, are you going to Protect the Constitution or are you going to be complicit in this treachery? 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood are you going to condone him pissing on 1,800 dead Marines? Well...are you?:(

Expert on the radical right warns that vigilantes are preparing ‘to launch a coup’

Writing at Washington Monthly, David Atkins explains Trump’s mindset:

"He sees the violence as politically beneficial, a useful cudgel against Democratic nominee Joe Biden — even though the violence is happening while Trump himself is president, not Biden.

Trump’s election theme is that Americans won’t be safe in a Biden presidency. The opposite is true. Americans won’t be safe as long as a white supremacist president is leading a movement of bigots to incite a civil war, and attempting to ensure that the majority of Americans with cosmopolitan, egalitarian values remain politically disenfranchised and under the thumb of those who fear and despise them."

Portland is depicted as a liberal oasis in America’s popular imagination. In reality, Portland is a very race and class-segregated city. As historian and activist Walidah Imarisha and others have richly documented, the Oregon territory passed laws in 1844 explicitly excluding Black people from the region under punishment of whippings and other violence. The state of Oregon formally included white supremacy in its constitution, explicitly banning nonwhites.

To this day, Oregon remains a redoubt of white supremacy, where white supremacists and other right-wing extremists have a large presence in the state and surrounding region. Portland itself has a long and ongoing history of right-wing violence.

Reid warns that Portland, the right-wing vigilante killings in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and the hundreds of other attacks by right-wing extremists on Black Lives Matter protesters is just a preview of the massive violence that Donald Trump and his movement may unleash before and after Election Day — perhaps including the arrest or imprisonment of prominent Democrats, journalists, and others deemed to be enemies of the state.

WHO official warns no widespread COVID-19 vaccine expected until mid-2021

Trump is lying again, still also too!

A World Health Organization spokesperson said on Friday that widespread vaccination against Covid-19 is not expected until mid-2021, a statement that stood in stark contrast with President Donald Trump’s recent claim that a vaccine could be ready by the November general election.

Speaking at a United Nations briefing in Geneva, WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris said that none of the candidate vaccines currently in advanced clinical trials has shown “a clear signal” of being at least 50% effective, the minimum level of acceptability according to many scientists.

On Thursday, Dr. Moncef Slaoui, the administration’s own chief vaccine adviser, told NPR that it was “extremely unlikely” that a vaccine would be available as the “October surprise” Trump seeks to boost his reelection chances.

Medical experts and health officials have warned that the administration’s politically motivated push to rush a Covid-19 vaccine to production before the presidential election, and its stated willingness to fast-track unproven experimental vaccines, poses serious public health risks.

Think John Kelly (who is no angel himself) is already doing this his own way--by providing some of the material (certainly the stuff at his son's gravesite) to begin with and then confirming it off the record to any and all news service that calls him to check it out. And certainly every Republican politician knows he's doing this.

Trump mocks Joe Biden mask-wearing just as new research shows stricter compliance could save 120,000 lives in US over next 4 months

While a new forecast released by health researchers estimates that a mask-wearing compliance rate of 95% in the U.S. could reduce a projected death toll over the next four months by 120,000 people, President Donald Trump at a campaign event Thursday night continued to undermine the widespread adoption of face coverings by ridiculing Joe Biden’s frequent use of a mask.

During Thursday night’s packed rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, which violated the state’s mandate against outdoor gatherings of more than 250 people, Trump said:

"Did you ever see a man that likes a mask as much as him? And then he makes a speech, and he always has that—not always, but a lot of times he has it hanging down, because, you know what, it gives him a feeling of security. If I were a psychiatrist—right?—no, I’d say—I’d say, ‘This guy’s got some big issues."

In an interview with CNN, Biden said that “it’s hard to respond to something so idiotic.”
:)

Under the worst-case scenario, which has the potential to occur if public health mandates are eased prematurely in favor of a so-called “herd immunity” approach, over 620,000 people in the U.S. will have succumbed to the disease by the start of 2021.

According to the IHME’s forecasts, which are based on a model that hinges on human behavior and public policies, anywhere from 100,000 to 430,000 additional U.S. residents are likely to die from Covid-19 in the next four months.

Ali Mokdad, a professor of population health, issued a reminder: “These are not numbers or statistics but family members, friends, and loved ones.”

And you thought I was being hyperbolic?:)

Trump boat parade ends in disaster after multiple vessels sink in Texas lake

Texas Republicans endangered themselves on Saturday by failing to safely hold a boat parade.

“Multiple 911 calls have been made regarding boats being in distress, some sinking at the ‘Trump Boat Parade’ scheduled for Saturday afternoon on Lake Travis, according to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. TCSO confirmed with CBS Austin that multiple boats have been sinking and are in distress,” CBS Austin reported Saturday. “The sheriff’s office says calls have been made about boats along the entire route of the parade, some of the locations include: Paradise Cove, Emerald Point and West Beach.”

‘Cutting corners everywhere’: Engineers say parts of Trump’s wall will collapse months after it was built

A new engineering report set to be filed in federal court has said that Republican President Donald Trump’s privately constructed 3-mile border fence, built in 2020 by North Dakota-based Fisher Sand and Gravel, will fall down due to extensive erosion in a matter of months if it’s not fixed and maintained.

The wall was built by the nonprofit “We Build the Wall”, a group that’s currently under federal investigation for illegally spending most of the $25 million it raised to help President Donald Trump build a wall along the U.S./Mexico border.

“When extreme flow events, laden with sediment and debris, completely undermine the foundation of the fence and create a flow path under the fence or cause a segment of the fence to topple into the river, unpredictable and damaging hydraulics will occur,” Tompkins wrote in a court affidavit.

A second report by the Millennium Engineers Group found that “gaps up to three feet wide and waist-deep, concrete cracking, construction flaws” caused by “substandard construction material” will cause the wall to fall soon as well.

Fisher has said that the reports’ findings are normal post-construction issues. The Trump Administration has given Fisher’s firms $2 billion in federal contracts to build more border wall segments.

How Trumpian!:)

Shocking details from Michael Cohen tell-all book revealed after the Washington Post obtained a copy

Longtime Donald Trump “fixer” Michael Cohen’s forthcoming tell-all book were reported on Saturday after The Washington Post obtained a copy.

“President Trump’s longtime lawyer and personal fixer, Michael Cohen, alleges in a new book that Trump made ‘overt and covert attempts to get Russia to interfere in the 2016 election’ and that the future commander in chief was also well aware of Cohen’s hush-money payoff to adult-film star Stormy Daniels during that campaign,” the newspaper reported.

The 432-page book, titled Disloyal: A Memoir is scheduled to be released on Tuesday.

Proving again that Trump is a pig in the clothing of a Real Estate grifter!:)

Trump campaign to focus attacks on Kamala Harris after Biden smears flop: report

Having failed at painting Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden as a wild-eyed anarchist, Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is making plans to go after his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), in much the same manner, reports Politico.

Labeling it a “fall offensive,” the president’s people hope to portray the former California attorney general as “a serious threat to the working-class voters,” who will push a socialist agenda while serving with Biden.

I'm not sure that will work out well for Trumpy and Mike. Kamala will come out with her heavy guns blazing and The USS Trumptanic will go down like the Hood in a vast explosion of horseshit!

Do it Donnie, I want to see that!

Trump’s church of white masculinity

The week before last, we watched Americans respond to the altar call at the church of white masculinity. During the Republican National Convention, speakers humbly prostrated themselves at the foot of white masculinity, arguing that the rejection of a white male savior would be our ruin. The disciples of white masculinity preached that feminists were coming for the unborn, the LBGTQIA community was coming for our children and racial minorities were coming for the rest of us. Furthermore, the RNC paraded women and speakers of color to state that President Trump was not racist, he was right —and those who refused to convert were deviants seeking the destruction of the nation.

A 2016 PRRI/Atlantic survey finds a quarter of whites (24.9%) believe that diversity has come at their expense and that society has become too soft and feminine. Further, 93.1% of whites who agree with both of those statements reported voting for Trump. More than a third of white evangelicals (35.6%) agreed with both statements, followed by less than a quarter of white Catholics (23.7%) and mainline Protestants (23.1%).

When examined along gender lines, the data show white evangelical men (45.1%) are significantly more likely to agree with these statements than their female counterparts (24.5%). Among women, however, white evangelical women are significantly more likely to agree with these statements than white mainline Protestant women (19.8%) and white Catholic women (12.1%).

Trump's base of 30% of the nation will go down with him screaming in fear. Not exactly the "Home of the Brave!":)

Germany attacks ‘unscrupulous’ Trump over rigged vote claims

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said Sunday that an “unscrupulous” President Donald Trump was trying to sow doubt about the US presidential election by urging his supporters to vote twice, which is illegal.

“We owe an incredible number of things to the United States and the country remains one of our closest partners but… it is disturbing to see that an American president thinks he might need such” a move, Maas told Sunday’s Bild, Germany’s top selling daily.

I;m sure that Trump has supporters in Germany too. After all it;s the birth place of Nazis!

However when a high ranking FOreign pol comments on an American PeeResident as being 'unscrupulous' it does hurt a bit!:)

North Carolina attorney general indicates he may investigate Trump’s postmaster general Louis DeJoy after expose

A Washington Post expose on Postmaster General Louis DeJoy for pressuring staff of his company to give money to Republican candidates, which he later reimbursed them for through bonuses.

The accusations against DeJoy are coming from, among others, a human resources executive who claims he had access to payroll records.

“My statement on today’s Washington Post story ‘Louis DeJoy’s rise as GOP fundraiser was powered by contributions from co. workers who were later reimbursed, former employees say’ It is against the law to directly or indirectly reimburse someone for a political contribution,” wrote North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein. “Any credible allegations of such actions merit investigation by the appropriate state and federal authorities. Beyond this, it would be inappropriate for me as Attorney General to comment on any specific matter at this time.”

Also, wouldn't paying the reimbursement with company funds be an embezzlement?

Top Republican warns Trump that his war against the USPS could kill the GOP in November: ‘We’re screwed’

Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told President Donald Trump in a “private meeting” that the Republican Party could be “screwed” if he continues to fight a war with the U.S. Postal Service.

According to Axios reporter Alayna Treene, McCarthy told the site, “We could lose based on that.”

He reportedly spent “hours” with Trump trying to walk through the facts and figures and why it was so crucial for the president to tone down the conspiracy theories, but it was clear the president either didn’t get it or didn’t care.

:)

No, there will be no COVID-19 vaccine before Election Day — and it’ll take two years to vaccinate the US: doctor

President Donald Trump desperately needs a COVID-19 vaccine to help him get through the election in November. The problem, however, is that it’s never going to happen, no matter how hard he tries.

Trump didn’t take the virus seriously until it had spread so far that the stock market cratered, and people panicked, hoarding food, toilet paper, gasoline, water and more.

Now, Trump is lying again, saying that he’ll have the vaccine in time for the Election. In fact, his administration has put states “on notice” that they need to create distribution centers for the vaccine and have them up and running by Nov. 1.

“First of all, no vaccine will be distributed before Election Day,” he said frankly. “Even if we identify a vaccine, which looks both safe and effective, the distribution plan will be really complex. First of all, these vaccines require subzero storage. So, you need a supply chain that can do that. We’ll have to pick who gets the vaccine first. Health care workers, the elderly, nursing homes, people at risk. There is an elaborate plan that will go into this. So, it’s will take a while to get the vaccine into people, and vaccination will take probably two years to vaccinate the country.”

"He's lying, like he always does"

‘Unprecedented public attack’: Widespread shock as Trump blasts the Pentagon — from the White House

President Donald Trump accused the top brass of the Department of Defense of needlessly waging wars to boost the profits of defense contractors during a Labor Day press conference held at the White House.

“I’m not saying the military’s in love with me, the soldiers are, the top people in the Pentagon probably aren’t because they want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes and make everything else stay happy,” Trump argued.

Donnie the Demented shows how clever he is! I believe it was he who showered $100 Million on a Syrian airfield that had been evacuated hours before he struck!:) Raytheon thanks you, Donnie.

Trump said it was a lot easier to pay off Stormy Daniels than Melania: Michael Cohen

Additional excerpts from Michael Cohen’s tell-all book are being leaked ahead of the release on Wednesday. One key excerpt from Cohen was when he had President Donald Trump sign hush-money checks to adult film star Stormy Daniels totaling $130,000. According to Trump, it was pocket change.

Recalling the discussion with Trump, Cohen says the president claimed $130,000 “is a lot less than I would have to pay Melania.” Cohen also recalls Trump musing, if news spread about Daniels, his supporters might “think it’s cool that I slept with a porn star.”

Cohen also recalls that when the news broke about Daniels in 2018, it “caused a shitstorm of biblical proportions, even by the Trump Presidency standards.”

:)

Too bad that sleeping with and paying a porn star while being married doesn't seem to have scratched the morals of the Evangelicals.

Mel isn't too happy about his bareback riding either!:D

Trump’s ‘cash crunch’: Where exactly did the president’s $800 million go?

President Donald Trump’s re-election effort is burning through cash and may face a crisis during the final two months of the 2020 presidential campaign, according to a new analysis by The New York Times.

“Money was supposed to have been one of the great advantages of incumbency for President Trump, much as it was for President Barack Obama in 2012 and George W. Bush in 2004. After getting outspent in 2016, Mr. Trump filed for re-election on the day of his inauguration — earlier than any other modern president — betting that the head start would deliver him a decisive financial advantage this year,” the newspaper reported. “It seemed to have worked. His rival, Joseph R. Biden Jr., was relatively broke when he emerged as the presumptive Democratic nominee this spring, and Mr. Trump and the Republican National Committee had a nearly $200 million cash advantage.”

“Five months later, Mr. Trump’s financial supremacy has evaporated. Of the $1.1 billon his campaign and the party raised from the beginning of 2019 through July, more than $800 million has already been spent. Now some people inside the campaign are forecasting what was once unthinkable: a cash crunch with less than 60 days until the election, according to Republican officials briefed on the matter,” The Times reported.

I wonder how much has been skimmed by Trump Inc, 2% or more I'll bet!
