As the dawn breaks on the 178th week of American Misery in the shiny city in the swamp, illuminating the Oblisk of our father and the stirring words of patriots emblazoned over the doors of our judicial high court, the nation eagerly wishes for an end to the hatred and bigotry that has marred the Union. Will the next week offer an enlightened leadership, from what ever direction may be the source of our salvation?

The hopes of the nation battered, the despair of the people made manifest by their reaction to the timidity of their elected leaders, America longs for a fresh beginning.

Well keep wishing suckers! #Bunker Bitch Boy is in command of the forces of repression and can not relinquish control lest he be shown as weak and pitiful. His fear of the people is made evident by his newest reaction to his ineptitude.

Behold #Bunker Bitch Boy's (ta da) #Babygate!

Yes not only a iron fence but now a new barrier between the people and their PeeResident.

#BabyGate trends as Trump’s White House border fence gets a hilarious new nickname

President Donald Trump has now overseen the construction of a perimeter fence around the White House that is nearly two miles in length — and it’s already getting mocked relentlessly on social media.

As construction of the perimeter fence continued on Friday, many Twitter users said it reminded them of a baby gate that new parents use to keep their infants from crawling into potentially dangerous areas.

It remains to be seen if it will keep #Bunker Bitch Baby in.

Trump toured the Puritan facility in Maine, while they were producing swabs for Covid tests. He did not wear a mask.

All of the swabs made during his tour have been thrown away.

We are witnessing the birth of a movement — and the downfall of a president

They almost always begin to right wrongs: illegitimate wars; decades of discrimination on the grounds of gender or racial or sexual identity; killings of innocents by police or gun-toting lunatics; oppression by governments wielding unequal laws; the deeply embedded legacy of centuries of racism.

This article first appeared in Salon.

They are imperfect. Arising out of rage, they can be unfocused, inchoate, contradictory. Protesting violence, they often involve violence. Protesting oppression, they sometimes oppress by destroying public spaces, small businesses, even entire neighborhoods.

But sometimes they are large enough and powerful enough and righteous enough to bend the arc of history. We are in such a moment. There has been a turning. A protest against the murder of a black man by police in Minneapolis has become a movement. Demonstrations, which began almost two weeks ago, are ongoing. They are huge. They are nationwide. They are peaceful. They show no signs of stopping.

Among the extraordinary things about this moment is the fact that every single person who has taken to the streets to demonstrate is risking his or her life. People who only days ago were huddled inside their homes, afraid of a virus that has taken in excess of 110,000 lives in this country, are putting on their face masks and gathering by the tens or even hundreds of thousands, unafraid of the virus or the forces arrayed on the streets against them. They are protesting the death of a man who should not have had to die, and they are protesting the man who seemingly gave permission for him to be murdered by the intolerance and racism he has openly promoted for more than four years.

German leaders stunned and angry after Trump announces 9,500 troops will be pulled from region

On Saturday, Bloomberg News reported that Germany is stunned by President Donald Trump’s new order to pull 9,500 troops from the region.

“Like Chancellor Angela Merkel, the mayor of Grafenwoehr was caught off guard. It’s the latest sign of the U.S.’s deterioration of ties with a loyal ally, one that not only hosts most of its troops in Europe but also has seen them fuel the local economy,” reported Angela Cullen and Arne Delfs. “This medieval town, with a tiny population dwarfed by the size of the American military presence, shows just what a shadow the U.S. has cast over Europe after World War II and what its retreat symbolizes in the eyes of locals and international observers. Another troop cut would signal a further break with a legacy of two generations.”

Trump just wants to piss off the real Antifa! :D

Just another piece of petty petulance. Merkel declined to attend Trump's G7 meeting in the fall because she knows she and the other leaders will be used as props at what effectively will be sold as a re-election rally. She also disagreed with Trump inviting Putin to what is supposed to be confined to democratic nations. Be interesting to see who else drops out.

‘Blowback’ against Trump’s missteps dominated social media all week: report

President Donald Trump’s blunders in response to the protest over the killing of George Floyd dominated social media for a week, according to a new report by Axios.

“Trump’s force-over-compassion approach to the demonstrators protesting the murder of George Floyd had Republican allies backpedaling to keep a distance — and led to a wave of condemnations that got plenty of online traction on their own,” Axios reported. “The blowback against Trump was strong and swift all week.”

“The bottom line: Trump’s already sliding political standing does not appear to be improving,” Axios reported.

Trump Vetoes Student Loan Forgiveness Bill

Student Loan Forgiveness

In a widely expected move, Trump vetoed congressional legislation that would have overturned a key student loan forgiveness rule drafted by the U.S. Education Department under the leadership of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos. In March, the U.S. Senate voted 53-42 to overturn a new student loan forgiveness rule introduced by U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos that critics argue limit student loan forgiveness for students when a college closes due to fraud. All Senate Democrats and 10 Republicans voted on a bipartisan basis. The House of Representatives overturned the rule in January by a vote of 231-180.

The student loan forgiveness rules are known as borrower defense to repayment, which allow students to have their federal student loans forgiven if a school employed illegal or deceptive practices to encourage the students to borrow debt to attend the school. Without these rules, students are potentially on the hook to repay federal student loans even if they didn’t find gainful employment or finish their degree before their school closed. The original rules were issued during the Obama administration. However, DeVos rewrote the rules to narrow the requirements to receive student loan forgiveness.

Betsy is not in the top two or three Trumpublicunts infecting our nation but is in the top ten.

Colin Powell buries ‘birther and liar’ Trump in CNN interview — and vows to vote for Biden

In a highly candid interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, former Secretary of State Colin Powell went all in attacking Donald Trump, saying he didn’t like him in 2016 when he was running as a “birther” and he dislikes the president even more now because he is a “liar.”

Speaking with the “State of the Union” host, the normally reserved Powell became very animated.

Colin just can't take Liars anymore. :)

Prominent Republicans serving notice they won’t support Trump’s re-election: report

According to a report from the New York Times, prominent Republicans are making it clear to Donald Trump that he won’t be receiving their votes or support as he runs for re-election — and they may endorse his presumptive opponent Joe Biden.

With one conservative commentator writing that some GOP lawmakers see the writing on the wall that the president won’t be re-elected and may soon start distancing themselves from the embattled president, the Times reports that a few have already making their intentions clear that they won’t back the 2020 Republican presidential nominee.

If Republicans were smart they would start finding another Candidate and DUMP TRUMP now. OHJ isn't the most popular Democrat and almost as unattractive as HRC. Unfortunately they don't have an articulate, intelligent member in their party!

White House thinking of having Trump do a national address on ‘race’ after church photo-op fails: CNN

The White House is desperately searching for ways to move on from mistakes President Donald Trump has made in dealing with the Black Lives Matter protests that have been going on for the past two weeks, reported CNN. The way they think they can win people back is by having the white president lecture people on race.

The comment was first made by Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, who said, “I believe you’re going to be hearing from the President this week on this topic in some detail. And I would ask you maybe to reserve judgment until after that time.”

I say go for it Trumpy, but only extemporaneously 'cause you have a way with words!:D:D:D:D:D

John Bolton’s tell-all book will be out this month

Washington Post reporter David Nakamura revealed Sunday that former national security adviser, John Bolton, will finally be able to release his tell-all book about his life in President Donald Trump’s administration this month.

The book, “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir,” was scheduled to be released in March, but the White House has fought it, saying that the book had several examples of classified information within the pages.

“The manuscript may not be published or otherwise disclosed without the deletion of this classified information,” wrote Ellen Knight, the National Security Council’s senior director for records.

Finally, after a lawsuit and a series of arguments with the classification staff, Bolton’s book will publish June 23.

Is there a special prize if we get to Week 200?

We should get something.

Why wouldn't we get to week 200? Are you seriously predicting resignation or something more drastic? Giving up already? :D

William Barr sued in a personal capacity as protesters who were gassed seek damages for injuries

Protesters are suing President Donald Trump, Attorney General William Barr and a number of federal officials after they were tear-gassed to clear the way for an administration photo-op.

“This case is about the president and attorney general of the United States ordering the use of violence against peaceful demonstrators who were speaking out against discriminatory police brutality targeted at Black people,” the complaint reads.

The suit was filed on behalf of Black Lives Matter DC, along with a handful of individual protesters, by the American Civil Liberties Union of the District of Columbia (ACLU), in conjunction with the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and Arnold & Porter LLP.

Along with Trump and Barr, the complaint names Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, Army Gen. James McConville and the heads of the Secret Service, U.S. Park Police and D.C. National Guard, as well as dozens of anonymous officials who carried out the action.

It might be unwise for the Trumpites to pick a fight with Lawyers in DC. They will milk the case and run up bills and if you loose you pay their LAWYAr's bills!!!!:eek:

DO the Trumpites have a leg to stand on or will they have to depend on their Crack Leagle Team (CLT, you know Bumfuck and Dildo Esq.):D:D:D

Fucken Beautiful!:D:D:D:D:D

Trump ridiculed for meltdown on Gen. Colin Powell after CNN appearance: ‘Cadet Bone Spurs says what?’

As might be expected, Donald Trump did not care for the comments made by former Secretary of State Colin Powell on CNN Sunday morning — including his endorsement of Joe Biden as the next president of the United States, so the president lashed out on Twitter.

That received quite a bit of pushback from commenters with one bluntly stating, “You couldn’t shine Powell’s shoes.”

True though.:):):):)

Trump finally admits that his poll numbers are failing

President Donald Trump finally reached realized and recognized that he has a problem.

In a Sunday tweet, he admitted that his poll numbers are in the toilet. A new poll was released by the Wall Street Journal over the weekend showing him eight points down nationally, but more importantly, Trump is losing by at least eight points in key swing states.

The reason for the catastrophic numbers, however, has nothing to do with accepting his own flaws about Black protesters and failures in the COVID-19 crisis. Instead, he blamed the Democrats.

“If I wasn’t constantly harassed for three years by fake and illegal investigations, Russia, Russia, Russia, and the Impeachment Hoax, I’d be up by 25 points on Sleepy Joe and the Do Nothing Democrats. Very unfair, but it is what it is!!!” Trump tweeted.

Bye Don, bye!:):)
