President argues NY governor has ‘lost his mind’ for investigating the Trump Organization

President Donald Trump on Saturday again publicly complained about investigations by the state of New York.

Following a day at Trump International Golf Club, Trump returned to Mar-a-Lago and quickly began tweeting.

The commander-in-chief begged the Speaker of the House of Representatives to spend less time in the capitol and praised Rush Limbaugh as a “major star.”

And then he attacked the state of New York, where he had residency before signing paperwork to official establish himself as a Florida man.

“So sad to see that New York City and State are falling apart,” the president of the United States tweeted.

“All they want to do is investigate to make me hate them even more than I should,” Trump argued, in a line that will surely get attention from armchair psychologists.

“Governor Cuomo has lost control, and lost his mind. Very bad for the homeless and all,” the commander-in-chief added.

Internet skewers ‘nutbag in chief’ Trump for tweet attacking California and New York: ‘Dude, just golf today’

On Saturday, President Donald Trump tweeted a random attack on the states of New York and California, demanding that their governors call him and “politely” ask him to fix their “TREMENDOUS Homeless problems.”

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

California and New York must do something about their TREMENDOUS Homeless problems. They are setting records! If their Governors can’t handle the situation, which they should be able to do very easily, they must call and “politely” ask for help. Would be so easy with competence!

Oh my! THe PeeResident is offering to help with the homeless, if they ask nicely!:D

GOP senators facing tough re-election warned to stick with Trump or else: ‘You have a hell of a lot to lose’

On Saturday, Politico’s James Arkin reported that Republican senators facing re-election in 2020 are being warned by party strategist that they must vote in lockstep to protect Trump — or they will be thrown out of office.

“GOP strategists see little political upside for any Republican senator to consider breaking with the president on the issue given that they would inevitably see a massive drop-off in support among their base voters,” wrote Arkin.

The problem is that even for senators in states where Trump is extremely unpopular, like Sens. Cory Gardner (R-CO) and Susan Collins (R-ME), a dropoff in support among Trump voters would be disastrous, and they could not expect to gain enough votes from moderates and independents to make up for those lost.

Scott Jennings, who advises Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), agreed with this assessment, saying, “You have a hell of a lot to lose. If you look at Republicans in any state — a big Trump state or not — and you’re a Republican office holder, you have a heck of a lot to lose by breaking with the president.”

Hey GOP, lose 276 lbs of ugly fat the easy way. "VOTE DUMP TRUMP!":D

George Conway accuses Trump of faking mental incompetence to get out of being impeached

In a late-night tweet on Friday, conservative attorney George Conway, husband of counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway, looked at the barrage of tweets sent out by Donald Trump and speculated that the president was trying to give the impression he might not be mentally stable enough to face an impeachment trial.

After the president finally stopped retweeting random commenters complimenting him on how he is doing his job, Conway took to Twitter himself to write:

“It’s as though @realDonaldTrump is trying to establish that he’s not mentally competent to stand trial on the articles of impeachment. Too bad for him, though, that there’s no legal basis for a mental competence requirement in the impeachment process. #IMPOTUS.”

The most preposterous op-ed of 2019 argues that Trump will inspire a religious revival

The piece, by Christian fundamentalist media producer Mark Joseph, argues that President Donald Trump’s vulgar, immoral, and nasty behavior, allegedly the antithesis of what every true Christian believes, is not a flaw to be embarrassed about, not a blot over which the faithful must change the subject with a nervous cough, but a shiny feature to be celebrated.

Yes, just the thing to attract the youth!

:eek::rolleyes:

Trump must be forced to take the stand in his Senate impeachment trial: Watergate prosecutor

On Saturday, former Watergate prosecutor Nick Akerman wrote that President Donald Trump must face cross-examination during his Senate impeachment trial for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

“There is no dispute that the witness with the most material knowledge of the facts surrounding the alleged shakedown of Ukraine is Donald J. Trump,” wrote Akerman in Newsweek. “Indeed, he claims that his July 25th call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was ‘perfect’ and that he did nothing wrong. The problem for Trump is that his lies and obfuscation cannot withstand a vigorous cross-examination of the facts.”

Yes only the Chosen One can handle the defence of Trumpski. Donnie should face the fact that only HE can cut a deal with the country to realize that HE is leading the way to a bright future!

Do It Donnie! Take the stand and sweep away all these falsehoods brought by faithless Democrats!:)

The Republicans in Congress could just accept that his stonewalling obviously combines with everything else that is obvious to them to broadcast his guilt and just give him the boot without playing more "will he or won't he?" games with him. His guilt is obvious on a pile of evidence right out there in the open. No one is fooled about his guilt.

Trump quizzing Mar-a-Lago resort members for impeachment trial advice: report

On Saturday, CNN correspondent Sarah Westwood reported that President Donald Trump is asking members of his exclusive Mar-a-Lago country club how he should go about protecting himself from impeachment.

“President Trump is increasingly agitated about this state of limbo surrounding the Senate trial,” said Westwood. “He is in something of a routine, firing off daily messages aimed at [House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi as he sits with a rotating group of aides at Mar-a-Lago. Sources tell CNN he has been quizzing his advisors and his friends at his resort about what the White House strategy for the Senate trial should be.”

“The only certainty at this point is that White House counsel Pat Cipollone is expected to present the bulk of the president’s defense to the Senate, he’s expected to be assisted by some of his deputies, perhaps there will be more limited roles for his outside team. The president is also considering creating roles for some of his fiercest defenders in the house, members like Congressman Jim Jordan and Congressman Mark Meadows.”

Maybe Rudy could help out. Trumpski may need his expertize!:D

Trump’s lawyers decided president could unilaterally take over Congress

Congress was supposed to be not just a co-equal branch of government to the president, they’re the first among the equals. But with a quick decision, President Donald Trump and his lawyers decided Trump would reign supreme.

The New York Times followed the timeline of Trump’s 84-day hold of Ukraine aide after Congress allocated it in a Sunday report, with the shocking revelation that his lawyers claimed he had the power to take over the role allocated to Congress.

“The president, the lawyers believed, could ignore the requirements of the Impoundment Control Act and continue to hold the aid by asserting constitutional commander in chief powers that give him authority over diplomacy,” reported The Times. “He could do so, they believed, if he determined that, based on existing circumstances, releasing the money would undermine military or diplomatic efforts.”

GOP lawmakers want nothing to do with Giuliani and his conspiracy theories

According to a report in the Daily Beast, GOP lawmakers are refusing to meet or communicate with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani as the impeachment of Donald Trump heads to the Senate for a trial.

Although several House members — Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Louie Gohmert (R-TX) have repeated Giuliani’s debunked conspiracy theory that Ukraine hacked the 2016 election to help former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Republican senators are taking great pains to not be associated with him.

Lindsey Graham distances himself from Giuliani’s ‘suspicious’ Ukraine conspiracy-mongering

In a Daily Beast report on GOP lawmakers shunning any contact with Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, the report reveals that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) also is wary of what the former New York City mayor brings to the table.

According to the report, Graham states that he doesn’t want to see what Giulini has discovered while gallivanting in Ukraine, and that any information he acquired needs to be vetted first.

“He has not shared any of that information with me. My advice to Giuliani would be to share what he got from Ukraine with the IC [intelligence community] to make sure it’s not Russia propaganda,” Grham explained. “I’m very suspicious of what the Russians are up to all over the world.”

Wise move GOP'ers!:)

BUSTED: Rudy Giuliani outed for ‘shadow diplomacy’ with Venezuela — similar to his Ukraine scandal

The Washington Post reported Sunday that Ukraine isn’t the only country Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, is working with outside the purview of the State Department. As of Sept. 2018, Giuliani was on the phone with former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. He was joined by implicated former Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX). Sessions has already been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury and Giuliani is reportedly under criminal investigation.

White House officials had no idea why Giuliani was involved in Venezuela or with Maduro, one former senior official told The Post. It was against White House’s official policy not to talk to Maduro and shore up sanctions against his government, at former DNI John Bolton’s urging. Giuliani then met with Bolton to discuss his “off-the-books plan” to get Maduro out of office. It was “a plan Bolton vehemently rejected, two people familiar with the meeting said.”

After Bolton urged the president to recognize Maduro’s rival Juan Guaidó as the new president, Giuliani was hired by a new Venezuelan tycoon who’s under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department for money laundering.

I hope he survives impeachment, (looks likely). I truly want to see what happens to the USA after another term of the trump presidency.

How high can that national debt go before the wheels start wobbling.

All the president’s bag men: Here are the Trump cronies who were indicted, convicted or imprisoned this year

President Donald Trump has seen an unusual number of his longtime associates indicted, convicted, or sentenced to prison over the last year.

Many of the convictions of Trump associates sprang from evidence uncovered during former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, but some of them have also been tied to the president’s more recent scandal with Ukraine that has resulted in his impeachment in the House of Representatives.

How many will face Justice in the next year?:)

Same ol shit.

Who knows...POTUS still doesn't have shit to do with debt, congress holds the purse strings.

I guess an upside of Trump's tenure is that it has, indeed, brought a lot of his swarmy associates out from underneath the rocks and into the sunshine to face trial and incarceration. Trump himself will never be hidden again and will get his just desserts in history for all time as the corrupt crazy criminal he is. And there's nothing that the board Trumpettes can do to prevent that.

Here’s why Congress wants to look inside the bank that fronted Donald Trump $2 billion

Deutsche Bank lent Trump millions after he defaulted on loans they already gave him and after he once sued them in 2008. Known derisively as a “global laundromat,” the bank is facing U.S. and British legal actions over its role in a $20 billion Russian money-laundering scheme. Two Congressional committees want the bank to release 10-plus years of records involving Trump and his three oldest children as Congress probes Russian money laundering and possible foreign influence involving Trump. White House lawyers have fought the committees tenaciously.

It’s hoped that the Supreme Court’s verdict will end years-long efforts on the part of U.S. officials to glean the truth about Trump’s finances. Especially at issue is whether Russians interfered in the 2016 election and if that meddling was powered by Russian money funneled to Trump through the giant, scandal-ridden German bank.

Who else is controlled by DB and Russian money? How many banks would continue to finance a bankruptcy prone loser?

‘You can’t continue as you are’: Ex-CIA operative warns Trump that Iraq situation about to get much worse

On CNN Tuesday, former CIA official Robert Baer warned that the violence at the Baghdad embassy is just the beginning — and the Trump administration needs to change course or risk a large-scale disaster.

“Do you worry this could escalate, or do you see something entirely different, despite these images?” asked hostBrianna Keilar.

“I’m very pessimistic,” said Baer. “The Iranians know that in Iraq, they have us hostage. We have about 5,500 troops there. They are not enough to defend themselves against these Shia militias, which do answer to Tehran. To me it’s like the Trump administration is sending a message, which is, we’ve got you guys. We’re going to shell you if we want to. It’s time to lift the sanctions. It’s time to deal with us. Right now, we don’t have enough troops there to defend our bases, and that’s the facts.”

Trump rages against Iran and orders Iraq to protect US embassy after attack: ‘So notified!’

President Donald Trump addressed an attack on the U.S. embassy in Baghdad in his second tweet of Tuesday morning, after first ranting against impeachment.

Dozens of Iraqi Shia militia supporters on Tuesday burst into the embassy compound, which was evacuated as thousands of demonstrators gathered outside to protest a U.S. airstrike that killed 25 members of Iranian-backed militia group.

Oops!

Joe Scarborough: Trump is a ‘threat to American democracy’ — and voters will need to confront that threat in 2020

Throughout 2019, Joe Scarborough (co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”) was among President Donald Trump’s most vehement critics on the right. The former GOP congressman made it clear that he viewed Trump as disastrous for the conservative movement and disastrous for democracy in general. And Scarborough, in a December 30 op-ed for the Washington Post, stresses that in 2020, it will be up to U.S. voters to hold Trump accountable.

Joe was complicit in getting the Russian candidate elected but hasn't admitted he helped give Trumpy free publicity for months.
