Trump blurs lines between personal lawyer, attorney general
San Jose Mercury | Sat Sep 28, 2019 21:17 UTC

As Washington plunges into impeachment, Attorney General William Barr finds himself engulfed in the political firestorm, facing questions about his role in President Donald Trump's outreach to Ukraine.

And Munchkin is his personal banker, right?

jaFO, thanks for covering this, I overslept after binging the Agents of Shield last night.

Rick Wilson nails down the number of GOP Senators who will turn on Trump because they ‘can’t stand’ him

“I mean, these guys are profiles in chicken you-know-what every day right now because they obviously understand that this is just one more pile on of the facts about Donald Trump that they cannot face,” he added.

Asked about a report that as many as 30 GOP Senators would vote to oust Trump if it was done by secret ballot, Wilson said that number was close according to his conversations with Republican lawmakers.

‘We all have a different number,” he conceded. “My actual hard count for myself of knowing these guys for a long time, my actual hard count is about 26 or 27 that I could tell you right now have told me or have — or have expressed that they cannot stand this man.”

“They live in terror of him and they are all moral cowards,” he continued. “They are fearful of Donald Trump’s mob and his horde. At one point somebody is going to break the seal and that person is going to have a really bad day but leave a really good memory in history.”

But will they vote that way when they take a roll call vote? Will they put their names on the list of patriots or Traitors? Who wants to be re-elected boys?:D:D:D:D

Well, let's get to the point where they have to choose for the historical record, with the reminder to them that this is going to be the historical record they are stuck with.

Donald Trump Told The Russians To Hack Away, And It's ALL Coming Out Now

Donald Trump knew damn well that the Russians hacked our elections, and he invited them into the Oval Office to tell them it was TOTALLY FINE. Yes, this was at the same May 10, 2017, meeting where he told Russian Ambassador Kislyak and Foreign Minister Lavrov, "I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job," because "I faced great pressure because of Russia. That's taken off." Don't worry about the cops, Sergei, hack away! And yes, this is one of the conversations White House lawyers stuck in the double-super-secret code word vault to make sure the American public never learned what a filthy traitor their president was. And yes, this shit is all coming out since the White House, which has always leaked like a sieve, is in total meltdown now that Nancy Pelosi has released the impeachment kraken.

(Although if we had to guess, we'd say this particular love note comes courtesy of "former official" John Bolton, who would have had access to the vault full of embarrassing transcripts and has been very clear that he's going to stick a shiv in Trump the first chance he gets.)

HRC isn't the only one with a secrete server! :D

Donald Trump Murders Gun Control In Exchange For Impeachment 'Support' From The NRA. Allegedly.

We were never going to get a gun control bill out of this White House. We know that, we're not A IDIOT. But yesterday's news that Donald Trump traded away background checks for NRA cash to fight his own impeachment is a new kind of horrifying. And we're betting that suburban women in Arizona, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin will agree.

Last night, the New York Times reported that NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre had just emerged from a meeting in the Oval Office with a promise from Trump to "'stop the games' over gun control legislation." And by "games" he means expanding background checks to all commercial sales including at gun shows and online, a plan which was supported by the Vanky Faction at the White House and opposed by her brother DJ and his posse. Sorry, baby!

There goes Trumpski consorting with known traitors!:)

Well this week is starting off just lovely!

Rudy Giuliani threw both Bill Barr and Mike Pompeo under the bus during latest Fox News interview

President Donald Trump’s television lawyer attacked the president’s Department of Justice and State Department during his latest Fox News appearance.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was interviewed Saturday by Fox News personality Judge Jeanine Pirro.

Pirro asked Giuliani about a conspiracy theory that 2016 election had its origins in Ukraine. That conspiracy theory was debunked by the conclusion of Trump’s own intelligence community and an indictment by Trump’s Department of Justice.

“If I didn’t investigate I would be committing malpractice,” Giuliani claimed.

He then threw Attorney General Bill Barr and the Department of Justice under the bus.

Is Rudy singing, or just trying to weasel his way out?

‘Enough with the rhetoric’: Chris Wallace gives Stephen Miller epic grilling after he blames ‘deep state’

Fox News host Chris Wallace blasted White House adviser Stephen Miller on Sunday for refusing to answer questions about the whistleblower who started the drive to impeach President Donald Trump.

During an interview on FOX News Sunday, Miller accused the whistleblower of being part of a “deep state” conspiracy against the president.

“This is a deep state operative, pure and simple,” Miller charged. “People who haven’t been in the federal government, who haven’t worked in the White House may not appreciate this but the situation is you have a group of unelected bureaucrats who think that they need to take down this president.”

Yes it's true, the "Deep State" will Dump Trump. It's the way balance of power works.

On one hand you have an orange shitgibbon, on the other you have the Resilience of the Republic. It is built in to the Constitution and upheld by patriots. :)

John Roberts ‘loathes’ being described as in Trump’s ‘pocket’ — here’s how it could affect an impeachment trial

If President Donald Trump is impeached, it will ultimately be senators who decide whether or not to remove him from office.

But there’s one other key figure in an impeachment trial: Chief Justice John Roberts, who has presided over the most right-wing Supreme Court in decades — and who would preside over the trial in the Senate.

As Constitutional Accountability Center president Elizabeth Wydra told MSNBC anchor Alex Witt on Saturday, this would be a critical, and uncomfortable, moment for Roberts in his career.

When the Rethuglicans start spewing their shit, will Chief Justice Roberts use the Gavel of Thor to quiet them down?:)

Rep. Pramila Jayapal corrects MSNBC host: ‘Donald Trump is the smoking gun’

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) explained in a Sunday interview on MSNBC that President Donald Trump is the only “smoking gun” that Democrats need to begin an impeachment inquiry.

Jayapal told MSNBC host Alex Witt that Trump and his henchman are trying to smear the reputation of a whistleblower who outed the president’s attempts to get Ukraine to manufacture dirt on Joe Biden.

Those lips are dangerous, Lumpy.:D

Former White House counsel thinks Trump tweet is a ‘veiled threat to out’ whistleblower

President Donald Trump went on a Sunday rant, saying that he, like every American, deserves to face his accuser. It’s something that former White House Counsel Jack Quinn fears is a precursor to an “outing” of the whistleblower.

Facing one’s accuser is a luxury that only belongs to those being prosecuted for their crimes. As Robert Mueller outlined, the Office of Legal Counsel in the Department of Justice doesn’t believe the president can be prosecuted for crimes. If Trump is willing to wave the OLC opinion and face prosecution, he could meet all of his accusers in court. The likelihood of that, however, is slim.

Keep painting yourself into a corner, Donnie boy!:D

As I noted on another thread, if the whistleblower has the background they've given so far--a CIA detailee to the White House who is a Ukraine expert (and that's evidenced in the complaint), it should take about three minutes to identify the whistleblower--for the White House staff to be able to do it themselves.

So, something's fishy about the background or, most likely, it's a composite of a group doing the whistleblowing (which is evident from the complaint showing not only detailed knowledge of the Ukraine issue but also of record keeping in the White House and the whistleblowing process--not likely something mastered by one person).

Trump issues ugly threat to arrest Adam Schiff for treason as impeachment gains momentum

Donnie's Dementia is developing nicely.:)

“Rep. Adam Schiff illegally made up a FAKE & terrible statement, pretended it to be mine as the most important part of my call to the Ukrainian President, and read it aloud to Congress and the American people,” Trump tweeted. “It bore NO relationship to what I said on the call. Arrest for Treason?”

Trump pressed Australian PM to help in probe of Mueller inquiry origins:New York Times
Reuters | Mon Sep 30, 2019 20:42 UTC

President Donald Trump urged Australia's prime minister during a recent phone call to help the U.S. attorney general in an investigation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe, the New York Times reported on Monday, citing two U.S. offic ...

Meghan McCain: Women would be called 'crazy bitches' if they acted like male pro-Trump allies

Meghan McCain slammed the men who defended President Trump in TV news shows over the weekend amid an impeachment inquiry storm, saying that women would have been called "hysterical maniac crazy bitches" had they behaved like them.

“When you’re bringing up the Deep State, when you’re blaming the media, you’ve already lost,” McCain said during a segment of "The View" in reference to pro-Trump allies making the rounds on the Sunday political shows like Trump advisor Stephen Miller and conservative talk show host Mark Levin.

“I will say, if any of the women on this show behaved the way some of the men were behaving, we would be hysterical maniac crazy bitches all over the internet, and these guys get away with behaving like that," she also added to applause from the live studio audience in New York.

“They have come undone,” co-host Sunny Hostin concurred.

:)

So, Donnie and Billy want to investigate the investigators who investigated the President?

Sounds like a plan!

Not a good plan but it is nice to know they have plans.

Pompeo took part in Trump-Zelensky call: report

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo took part in the phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that led to last week's impeachment inquiry launched by House Democrats, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

A senior State Department official told the Journal that Pompeo was among the administration officials who listened in on the call.

House Democrats have launched an impeachment inquiry and have subpoenaed Pompeo for documents related to the inquiry.

He has until Oct. 4 to produce the documents.

The whistleblower's complaint, which was released Thursday, alleged that there were approximately a dozen officials in the room during the phone call between Trump and Zelensky.

Will he produce the documents... un-sharpied?

House Democrats subpoena Giuliani

You wanna be a hero Rudy?

House committees on Monday subpoenaed President Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani to turn over documents as part of the House impeachment inquiry.

The committees, led by Democrats, requested documents related to the president's effort to pressure the Ukrainian government to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.

Read the letter to Giuliani from the House Intelligence, Oversight and Reform, and Foreign Affairs committees below:

IOW, cough up the evidence, chump!

Support for Trump impeachment, removal grows by 10 points in a week: poll

A survey from Quinnipiac University Poll released Monday found respondents evenly split, 47 percent to 47 percent, on whether they support impeaching President Trump and removing him from office, a 10-point swing in favor of impeachment over a five-day period.

The polling firm previously found voters opposed to impeachment and removal, 57 percent to 37 percent, in a poll released Sept. 25. The shift is largely driven by increased support of impeachment among Democrats, who support it 90 percent to 5 percent in the newest poll, up from 73 percent to 21 percent last week.

Support for impeachment and removal also increased among independents, from 34 percent (with 58 percent opposed) to 42 percent with just 50 percent opposed. Republican support was largely unchanged, with respondents 95 percent to 4 percent opposed last week and 92 percent to 7 percent opposed this week.

Trumpski unloved and loosing his supporters as the clock ticks. Tick, tock, you stupid cock!:D
