Trump officials furious with NRA over ‘dick move’ leak of LaPierre phone call: report

https://www.rawstory.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/5379-2.jpg

President Donald Trump originally appeared interested in strengthening federal background check laws in the wake of deadly mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. Then, after a phone conversation with National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre on Tuesday, Trump reportedly assured him that background checks were “off the table” and pivoted to discussing anything but guns.

It was a depressingly familiar moment for Trump, who also previously headfaked toward some minor gun control reforms after the Parkland school shooting and quickly walked them back.

But, now, according to The Daily Beast, White House officials are furious that what Trump said to LaPierre leaked to the public — and are accusing the NRA of pulling a “dick move” on them. Some officials are also disputing the nature of what Trump promised the NRA on this call.

Trump's afraid of the NRA, the NRA, the NRA.

Does Wayne have compromising pix of Donnie in the Oval Office, with Miller sucking his tiny dick?:D

I hereby order everyone to tune in Monday morning for the Great Dow Jones Plummet.

Trump had a plan to ‘blow up’ the G7 and give the ‘middle finger’ to our allies: report

President Donald Trump’s plan was to bully our G7 allies on a range of issues by touting the strong U.S. economy. As The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent wrote Friday morning, “Trump will proclaim his ‘America First’ agenda a smashing success, and throw that in the faces of our European allies.”

That plan will have to be changed now that his trade war with China just exploded.

China imposed tariffs of $75 billion of U.S. goods on Friday. Trump launched a tweetstorm causing the DOW to drop more than 600 points (at several times during the day more than 700 points.)

“Trump’s appearance [at the G7] will in reality demonstrate that the very nationalist agenda he will be touting is, thus far, a record of deep fraudulence and failure, covered up with lies,” Sargent added. “Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda, particularly the trade war with China, is a key reason the U.S. economy is now at greater risk of tipping into recession.”

Trump's spawn shorts the DOW and Senior provides the profit! Good Times!:D

Former Dem Senator hilariously nails perfect impression of ‘pouting’ Trump at G7 because nobody ‘likes him’ there

During the “Overtime” segment of HBO’s Real Time, former North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D) made fun of Donald Trump before he arrived at the G7 summit in France, saying he will pout his way through the weekend because the other world leaders loathe him.

With host Bill Maher asking how the Trump will conduct himself, Heitkamp immediately went into a very recognizable arms-crossed pout, which caused the audience to burst into laughter.

:D

But if the town talked about it, which they surely did if not in the way he would wish, he wasn't wrong.

Trump is a shining example to other world leaders for what not to do.

G7 off to a rough start as Trump aides slam host Macron’s agenda

With President Donald Trump at the latest G7 summit, all eyes are on the interactions between him and French President Emmanuel Macron. The two world leaders started off amicably, exchanging pleasantries, but behind the scenes, things have grown contentious.

According to Politico, Trump officials are railing against Macron, accusing him of trying to “fracture” the summit by steering the negotiations away from trade and into areas like climate change.

This development comes after Trump harshly criticized Macron for enacting a tax on digital services, which could increase costs for American tech companies like Google and Facebook. Trump threatened that if France does not suspend its “unfair” digital tax, “we’ll be taxing their wine like they’ve never seen before.” It is a threat that Trump has made repeatedly over the last few weeks whenever he has gotten angry at France.

Oh gosh, the world doesn't want to wast time on Trumski's pet wig out?

Trump admits he may have goofed up launching trade war with China:

According to a report from the Washington Post, Donald Trump admitted that he is now second-guessing himself over his trade war with China which has severely impacted American farmers and U.S. manufacturers.

The report is based upon an exchange between the president and a reporter that was noted by CNN’s Jim Acosta

Trump was reportedly asked by an unnamed reporter, “Mr. President, any second thoughts on escalating the trade war with China?”

“Yeah, sure, why not? ” Trump replied and, pressed further, he added, “Might as well, might as well,” and then “I have second thoughts about everything.”

Perhaps if he had had "First Thoughts" he wouldn't fuck up so badly?

White House spokesperson ridiculed for ‘pathetic’ spin on Trump’s trade war admission: ‘Does she think we believe that?’

Addressing Trump’s G7 response about his tariffs, widely interpreted by the press as expressing some regret, Grisham issued a statement saying the president meant that he wished he had increased his market-destroying tariffs even more.

“The President was asked if he had ‘any second thought on escalating the trade war with China,'” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham relayed. “His answer has been greatly misinterpreted. President Trump responded in the affirmative – because he regrets not raising the tariffs higher.”

Few on the Internet were buying it.

:)
I added this because of the great video on one of the tweets.

Macron says G7 agreed on joint action over Iran – but Trump denies it

Emmanuel Macron said Sunday that G7 leaders had agreed joint action on Iran with the aim of defusing tensions and opening a new negotiation with Tehran. But Donald Trump denied that this had happened.

The French president said on Sunday that G7 leaders had agreed joint action on Iran with the aim of defusing tensions and opening a new negotiation with Tehran.

“We agreed on what we wanted to say jointly on Iran,” Macron told LCI television. There is a message from the G7 on our objectives and the fact that we share them is important, which avoids divisions that in the end weaken everybody.”

“Everyone wants to avoid a conflict, Donald Trump was extremely clear on that point.”

But Trump denied this. “No I haven’t discussed that,” the US president told reporters on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Biarritz, France.

Trump said: “We’ll do our own outreach. But you can’t stop people from talking. If they want to talk, they can talk.”

Oh Fuck, Donnie!

Trump press conference goes off the rails after he gets asked about Russia — but rants about Obama instead

During a press conference at the end of the G7 summit, President Donald Trump once again lashed out at former President Barack Obama.

Trump was asked why he wanted to re-admit Russia to the international summit. Russia was booted for its illegal annexation of Crimea.

“I don’t care politically,” Trump said. “A lot of people don’t understand this. I don’t care politically… I don’t do things for political reasons. A lot of people are smart. A lot of people say having Russia, which is a power, having them inside the room is better than having them outside the room… I’m not blaming him, but a lot of bad things happened with President Putin and President Obama.”

Trump brags for 2 minutes in ‘commercial’ push to hold next year’s G7 at his troubled Miami golf resort

This year’s G7 was hosted by President Emmanuel Macron in Biarritz, France.

Next year the annual meeting will be hosted by President Trump. And for months he has been pushing to hold it at his own golf resort, the failing Trump National Doral Miami, which he purchased in a bankruptcy fire sale for $150 million. Net operating at the resort is down 69% in the past two years, according to a report in The Washington Post from May.

 He's so embarrassing.

Trump Declares Victory In All Trade Wars, HEREBY ORDERS Stock Market To Rise

This is no way to run a railroad. Even when he's overseas, humiliating us all at the G7 meeting in France, President Thirsty Bitch found time to fan the flames of a Chinese trade war, while simultaneously taking credit for ending the trade war by signing all the agreements! That train is never late.

On Friday, China announced it was doubling tariffs from five to 10 percent on $75 billion of American imports, such as soybeans, beef, pork and crude oil, starting in September. Duties on American vehicles and car parts will increase from five to 25 percent on December 15. That's in addition to its already planned ban on all agricultural imports from US America.

Naturally, White House trade adviser Peter Navarro was dispatched to CNN to discuss what sounded like it could be his browser history, saying, "They signal once again to the American public that China wants to buckle our knee so that they can keep having their way with us." And Donald Trump tweeted out that Chinese President Xi Jinping is an enemy of America, perhaps an even greater enemy than Jay Powell, the man Trump himself appointed to run the Federal Reserve. So, you know that Xi is a bad hombre!

Trump is negotiating with enemies of America? Even "W" didn't do that!

Prominent Republican explains how ‘cracks within the party’ are becoming exposed

President Donald Trump’s behavior appears to be increasingly erratic and even self-destructive, and a growing number of people within his party have become willing to speak out against him.

On Monday, while appearing on MSNBC’s “The Beat,” former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele explained what these developments mean in response to a clip of three conservative figures — Anthony Scaramucci, Rep. Justin Amash, and former Rep. Joe Walsh — all sounding the alarm about Trump. They all claimed that many Republicans acknowledge behind closed doors that Trump is unfit for office.

Yes, the GOP has cracks in their pot.:)

House Judiciary Committee Finally Lighting A Fire Under Don McGahn's Ass

It's about damn time! The House Judiciary Committee has finally asked the US District Court in DC to call bullshit on the Trump administration's claim that congressional oversight is ILLEGAL because of some made up claim of "absolute immunity" that White House Counsel Pat Cipollone pulled out of his smarmy, Covington Catholic ass. And if Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson isn't willing to grant summary judgment on this legal question, perhaps she will be willing to order former White House Counsel Don McGahn, who witnessed all the obstruction of justice, to get his behind into the committee for testimony pronto, since it's considering whether to recommend impeachment and needs access to all the evidence to carry out its constitutionally mandated duty.

Yep, the committee is using the "I" word. Again. 44 times in 57 pages. Oh, it's on.

So, good job, Judiciary Dems.

But as committee counsel Doug Letter himself pointed out in the pleading, this session of Congress and its impeachment inquiry expires on January 3 of 2021. And maybe Democrats would have a stronger argument about the exigency of their case if they hadn't waited three months after taking the gavel to subpoena their star witness, another two months after he blew them off and refused to appear before filing suit, and then three further weeks before asking for an emergency injunction ordering him to testify. Maybe.

Get a move on, Uncle Jerry! Time's a-wastin'!

Oh, but Nancy said to take it slow and make sure you only Impeach, in October of 2020!

Trump demands Puerto Ricans show gratitude for hurricane relief — then attacks ‘the incompetent Mayor of San Juan’

President Donald Trump on Wednesday once again bashed the island of Puerto Rico while demanding that its residents show the Federal Emergency Management Agency proper gratitude for helping them out.

“We are tracking closely tropical storm Dorian as it heads, as usual, to Puerto Rico,” the president wrote. “FEMA and all others are ready, and will do a great job. When they do, let them know it, and give them a big Thank You – Not like last time. That includes from the incompetent Mayor of San Juan!”

Puerto Rico braces for hit from Tropical Storm Dorian

Tropical Storm Dorian bore down on Puerto Rico Wednesday as residents braced for a direct hit, the first since the island was ravaged two years ago by Hurricane Maria.

US forecasters said they expected Dorian to make landfall in populous eastern Puerto Rico at near hurricane strength later in the day. A hurricane watch also was up for the US Virgin Islands.

Here’s the Fox News interview that sent Trump off the rails

President Donald Trump urged his followers to turn elsewhere for information after Fox News aired a segment showing he’s underwater in head-to-head polls with leading Democratic candidates.

The conservative news network aired an interview Wednesday morning with Democratic National Committee communications director Xochitl Hinojosa, who told host Sandra Smith that Trump looked weak against his would-be challengers.

“Any one of these candidates will be a better president than Donald Trump,” Hinojosa said.

That derailed Trump on FOX!

“Just watched Fox News heavily promoting the Democrats through their DNC Communications Director, spewing out whatever she wanted with zero pushback by anchor, Sandra Smith,” the president complained. “Terrible considering that Fox couldn’t even land a debate, the Dems give them NOTHING!”

Trump then called out Fox News broadcasters Donna Brazile, Juan Williams and Shepard Smith — and warned he would turn his fans against the channel.

“The New Fox News is letting millions of GREAT people down!” Trump tweeted. “We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore!”

Is Faux jumping on the Anti-Trump Train?

Trump supporters freak out at Brit Hume for saying Fox News isn’t supposed to work for the president

Army veteran slams Trump for tossing military families into ‘chaos’: He uses us ‘as a punching bag’

On Wednesday, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced a new policy that could vastly complicate the lives of military families. Although the government agency denied that they were revoking automatic citizenship for the children of U.S. army members deployed abroad — the new rule can vastly complicate adoptions and the citizen status of some military members’ kids.

The policy shift is widely seen as a part of President Donald Trump’s larger campaign to quell immigration to the U.S., including his pledge to undo birthright citizenship.

Can Trumpski really afford to lose the Vet Vote? Well, we shall see.

The poorly educated are about to learn just how little Donald Trump loves them

The poorly educated are about to learn just how little Donald Trump loves them. His gratuitous trade mayhem is damaging the global economy.

That means workers in jobs requiring no more than a high school diploma may soon get let go from jobs moving goods. Longshoremen, railroad workers, teamsters, the lumpers who load trailers, warehouse workers, and retail clerks are all at risk of being forced into unemployment.

Trump’s tariffs are expected to cost American households an average of $831 this year.

Trump’s rash move on Friday, Aug. 23, to increase tariffs and apply them to even more Chinese goods, taken in response to retaliatory Chinese tariffs on American goods, is likely to push that cost well above $1,000 per American household.

That’s a lot of money for the poorly educated – more than a week’s gross pay. Our federal government estimates typical truck driver pay at $44,000, though typical pay is significantly lower in Southern states (and Idaho), that went for Trump in 2016. Retail sales clerks typically make only $24,340.

American rail freight traffic is down about 3% through mid-August and, revealingly, down 5% for the most recent week, according to the American Association of Railroads. Canadian traffic, however, is up 2%.

California’s Long Beach Port is a key indicator of foreign goods trade. The number of arriving cargo containers was down 10% from a year earlier, the lowest July import volume since 2014.

The Port of Los Angeles shows increased container shipments this year, but is down 12.4% from 2017, another indicator of Trump’s trade mayhem.

Can the Lumpy Dumpling afford to lose the Teamster Vote? Probably not!
