Trump’s UK trip shows he still doesn’t know how to be a president — and he never will: Conservative columnist

Once NYC Ass hole, Forever a NYC Ass Hole until the day he dies, and will probably stiff the Undertaker!

President Donald Trump’s trip to Europe was a massive humiliation for America, and yet another reminder that Trump is incapable of following the norms and decorum of his office, writes conservative columnist Max Boot for the Washington Post.

“At one time, it was naively assumed that, in the unlikely event that he won the presidency, Trump would tone down the lying, the bragging, the nativism and the insults, and act more, well, presidential,” writes Boot. “Trump himself promised that ‘with the exception of the late, great Abraham Lincoln, I can be more presidential than any president that’s ever held this office.’ Another lie. We are more than halfway through Trump’s term, and his behavior remains as ‘unpresidented’ as ever.

The Assholes never fall far from the Tree!

Eric and Don Jr returned to the US without paying their Irish bar tab: report

According to a report from the Irish Times, Eric and Don Trump Jr. have yet to pay their bar tab from an Irish pub crawl.

As noted by the Daily Beast, the Times reports the sons of President Donald Trump offered free rounds during the bar carousing but failed to pay before leaving, according to one pub owner.

“Caroline Kennedy, the owner of Igoe bar in Doonbeg, where Trump owns a golf course, told the Irish Times that the president’s sons were “lovely and down to earth” but did not have any cash on them when they left her establishment,” the report states.

“I said, ‘Come on lads you have to come in and pull a drink’ so they did,” Kennedy said. “They thanked everyone for their support and for coming out to meet them and said there was a drink for everyone in the house and it was their small gesture.”

According to the owner, she expects to be paid sometime.

“I don’t think we’ve to worry about getting paid for that,” she remarked. “I don’t think they carry cash. We were told it’d be all sorted later so there’s no problem.”

I guess they don't carry credit cards?

The British sucked up to Trump during his visit even though the rest of Europe thinks he’s ‘insane’

During a panel of discussion on Donald Trump’s United Kingdom sojourn, an MSNBC contributor said that many countries ignored his antics and that Europe in general considers the so-called leader of the free world “insane.”

Speaking with AM Joy host Joy Reid, MSNBC contributor Christopher Dickey was asked about Trump’s decision to sign a D-Day proclamation at the top away from other world leader’s signatures and how it was viewed.

“They didn’t pay much attention to him at all, they essentially ignored it,” Dickey dryly replied. “In France, the D-Day celebrations and Trump’s part was carried deep inside the newspapers, they didn’t pay attention.”

“The British are a little more aggressive in their dealings with Trump because they are about to pull out of the European Union and they need the American support,” he continued. “He’s giving them bad advice and we have a situation where Britain is going crazy either pro or con with Donald Trump and the rest of Europe has always thought he was insane and a loose cannon and are praying he doesn’t get elected.”

Donald, you can't take him anywhere!

BUSTED: White House caught blocking intelligence aide’s testimony on a ‘possibly catastrophic’ disaster

President Donald Trump’s administration is notorious for ignoring reality, but according to a bombshell new Washington Post report, that perspective is preventing Americans from being warned about a potential catastrophe.

“White House officials barred a State Department intelligence staffer from submitting written testimony this week to the House Intelligence Committee warning that human-caused climate change could be ‘possibly catastrophic’ after State officials refused to excise the document’s references to the scientific consensus on climate change,” the newspaper reported.

Remember it's not a lie until Trumpski says it's False NEWZ!

:D

Can the Courts Decide Turf Battles Between Congress and the White House?

On Monday, a federal judge threw out a lawsuit brought by the House of Representatives against Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and other Trump administration officials that challenged the administration’s plan to spend certain funds to build a wall along the U.S. border. The House claimed that the expenditures would violate the Appropriations Clause of the Constitution, which gives Congress the primary authority to decide how taxpayer dollars are spent.

In his decision the judge claimed he had no authority to decide a constitutional dispute between Congress and the president, but that is precisely what he did. In this case, the “powerball” winner was the presidency.

Well back to the courthouse. :(

Catch-45

Today, in weasel words!

The twisted logic of Trump defenders would make a fine Joseph Heller novel.

There are many things you could call the professional Trump apologist: loyal, creative, unrelenting. Logically consistent? Not so much.

“Congress is too partisan to investigate the president!”

“The special counsel is too partisan to investigate the president!”

See also:

“Only Congress can investigate the president!”

“Congress can’t investigate the president unless there’s a legislative purpose!”

Of course these arguments are purely subjective, intended to service a partisan agenda, not a coherent constitutional vision. But to the extent there’s a common thread running through this mottled quilt, it’s a maximalist conception of presidential power and discretion, understood generally as the “unitary executive.”

Apparently the pub tab has been paid, and we are left with the picture of a family whose father doesn’t drink, but everyone else does.

The question I would like to hear an answer to is: Who had the use of the four funeral home limos for two days in Ireland that the taxpayers got stuck with a $935,000 bill for?

If even one of them was used during Bevis and Butthead's "pub crawl" then that's another bill that needs to be sent to the tacky gold tower in NYC too.

WSJ slaps Trump over ghastly jobs report — and blames his disastrous tariffs

The editorial board of the Wall Street Journal took President Donald Trump to task over the latest jobs report, saying his interference in markets and trade policy is damaging the economy and he needs to butt out.

Noting a meager 75,000 jobs created, the editorial gets right to the point: “President Trump understandably talks up the job creation on his watch, so he should heed Friday’s Labor report that showed a sharp pullback in hiring. The labor-market warning reinforces other evidence that the uncertainty caused by scattershot tariffs is now hurting employment as well as investment.”
***
Tariffs have already slammed farm exports and income, but the effects of trade uncertainty are rippling out. Farm equipment and chemical manufacturers have reported lower orders. Businesses are delaying investment decisions. Global trade flows are slowing, and commodity prices are down,” they continued, before warning darkly, “The May jobs report is a flashing yellow light that Mr. Trump needs to settle his trade wars and get back to promoting growth.”

Seems like Lumpy is not too popular around Wall St.?:)

Here is how House Democrats can reach a Trump impeachment verdict — and ‘stiff’ Mitch McConnell in the process

A major reason some Democrats are unwilling to impeach President Donald Trump is the knowledge that the Republican-controlled Senate would try the impeachment. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) would never allow a conviction to happen, and in fact, he might not even hold a full trial at all.

But as law professor Laurence Tribe explained to MSNBC’s Joy Reid on Saturday, that doesn’t mean that an impeachment would be pointless — indeed, he argued, there are ways that the House could end-run the Senate to, if not remove Trump, then at least litigate his criminality in their own chamber.

If the House just gets off their asses and investigates, subpoenas EVERYBODY, and the cites the losers who stiff them for contempt, the hullabaloo will educate the 77,000 ass holes who put Trump into office.

Keep kicking Trump in the nutz long enough and he'll blow a fuse.:)

Women prosecutors set male lawmakers straight in blunt op-ed: We won’t enforce your anti-abortion laws

The Rebellion begins!

In a very blunt op-ed piece for the Washington Post, a current female district attorney from North Carolina and a Commonwealth Attorney in Virginia drew a line in the sand for anti-choice lawmakers by informing them that they will make the judgement on whether they will comply with the draconian abortion laws that are being passed by conservative legislatures.

Under a headline, “We are prosecutors. We will use our discretion on new antiabortion laws,” Satana Deberry a district attorney of Durham County, N.C. Stephanie Morales is the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Portsmouth, Va. and Miriam Aroni Krinsky, the executive director of Fair and Just Prosecution stated their case.

Women have the fortitude to stand up to the forces of evil. Rethuglicans are the instruments of evil.

This perfectly illustrates the astonishing hypocrisy of Trump’s most loyal House henchmen

The Democrats have held the majority in the House for five months and the only public oversight hearing to shine a light on the administration’s behavior happened four months ago.

There have been some exciting moments since the Democrats took over the House, such as the flurry of activity around Robert Mueller’s report and his recent press conference. But mostly what the public has seen is Democrats arguing among themselves over whether or not to initiate an impeachment inquiry and news stories about haggling between the Congress and the White House over testimony and documents, with the White House stonewalling absolutely everything.

Oh, but now Congress is going to DO SOMETHING!

And tomorrow they may do something else, if Nancy lets them.

Can it be, that Congressional Democrats will grow a spine? It could happen!

MSNBC’s Mika stunned by GOP congressman’s feeble excuse for not reading Mueller report

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski was stunned into silence by a Republican congressman’s excuse for not reading the report from special counsel Robert Mueller.

“Morning Joe” hosted Democratic Rep. David Cicilline, of Rhode Island, to discuss the upcoming testimony from Richard Nixon’s former White House counsel John Dean, who will present highlights from Mueller’s report to the House Judiciary Committee.

During their discussion, Brzezinski rolled video of GOP Rep. Rob Woodall, of Georgia, addressing the report Sunday with MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt, who asked whether he’d read Mueller’s findings.

“I have not,” Woodall told Hunt. “I said when we started this conversation that I trusted Mr. Mueller. He took a lot of slings and arrows throughout this process. Every U.S. Attorney I knew said he’s a man of great integrity. He’s going to lead this investigation.”

Hunt again challenged him to explain why he hadn’t read the report.

“I have a concern, when you have the entire power of the United States Justice Department behind anything,” Woodall said, “you can achieve an agenda, you can drive a message.”

Rethuglicans know that you can not trust the Justice Department, I mean look at who leads it?

Golf Course Pays Off Trump Sons’ Irish Bar Bill

When Donald Trump’s sons Eric and Donald, Jr. went on their Irish pub crawl last week and offered free rounds for the house, they failed to pay the tab right away, according to at least one pub owner. Caroline Kennedy, the owner of Igoe bar in Doonbeg, where Trump owns a golf course, told The Daily Beast that she wasn’t worried at first when they skipped out on the tab because she assumed someone would follow up and pay her and other pub owners in the village. “That didn’t happen right away,” she said. “So I sent a bill to the Trump golf course.” On Saturday, Kennedy’s son posted on Facebook that the bill had been paid, and, according to further clarification from the Igoe, the golf course had given the bar a purchase order number and the bill had been arranged to be paid for by the Trump golf course, and that they were not, in fact, worried one bit.

When Trump spawn skip, Irishmen pay their bar Tab. Of course it all adds to the Golf courses bottom line, more Red for Lumpy INC!

Company part-owned by Jared Kushner got $90m from unknown offshore investors since 2017

A real estate company part-owned by Jared Kushner has received $90m in foreign funding from an opaque offshore vehicle since he entered the White House as a senior adviser to his father-in-law Donald Trump.

Investment has flowed from overseas to the company, Cadre, while Kushner works as an international envoy for the US, according to corporate filings and interviews. The money came through a vehicle run by Goldman Sachs in the Cayman Islands, a tax haven that guarantees corporate secrecy.

Kushner, who is married to Trump’s elder daughter Ivanka, kept a stake in Cadre after joining the administration, while selling other assets. His holding is now valued at up to $50m, according to his financial disclosure documents.

Will Congress investigate this? Perhaps he can show up and explain how he is Saving the Middle East and still has time to get $900 Mill from the Govt for buying Real Estate too?:)

Trump and Macron’s symbolic friendship tree dies

It was a symbolic gift from Emmanuel Macron to Donald Trump at the height of their “bromance” last year: an oak tree ceremoniously planted in the manicured lawns of the White House by both leaders.

Macron, on a state visit to the US at the time, tweeted that the sapling would be “a reminder … of these ties that bind us” and the “tenacity of the friendship” of the two nations. From little acorns, great transatlantic ties would take root and grow, was the message.

Now, just as symbolically with relations strained between the two, the oak tree has reportedly died.

Not water with the blood of Tyrants, I guess. :)

What do you suppose is in the secret trade deal Trump made with Mexico? I’m thinking golf balls filled with cocaine.

phrodeau writes: "What do you suppose is in the secret trade deal Trump made with Mexico? I’m thinking golf balls filled with cocaine."

I'm pretty sure that the modern Democratic Party wouldn't particularly mind seeing more cocaine entering the United States, phrodeau - so your guess isn't likely, as I don't know of ANY liberals applauding Trump's success.

My guess is that President Trump was simply sick & tired of the Mexican government allowing illegals to freely enter their country and march north to our border where they would then illegally try to enter our nation. And so he gave Mexico an ultimatum: FIX IT, or we're slapping your nation with additional tariffs!

Now, if President Obama had made such a threat, Mexico would have IGNORED it - as, remembering Syria's Bashar al-Assad openly ignoring Barack Obama's "red-line" threat, when the Syrians used chemical weapons on their own people and Obama did absolutely nothing in response. But when President Trump makes a threat, HE MEANS IT, and so the Mexican government responded!

China is learning this lesson, as well. The days when the U.S. gave away everything without getting anything in return (see President Obama's nuclear deal with the Iranians) are permanently OVER! We now have something in the American White House who understands how to make DEALS with foreign nations that actually benefit America!

Trump gives a rambling and nonsensical response to CNBC question about big tech companies

So, it's a day ending in 'y' then?

President Donald Trump on Monday delivered a long and rambling response during an interview on CNBC when asked about whether America’s big tech companies need to be broken up.

After a CNBC host asked the president whether he thought major American tech firms were too large and needed to be reduced in size to maintain a competitive market, Trump went off on a long rant about the European Union and the way they treat American companies.

Then he said we should do it too! ???
