When planning to include music downloads n the singles chart, those responsible could not have predicted that it would help Jamster's "Crazy Frog" keep established band Coldplay from the number one spot. However, figures realeased in June showed that the downloads of Beethoven's first five symphonies have outstripped both artists. The symphonies were made available to coincide with Radio 3's Beethoven season. If eligible, 'Beethoven's First' would have topped the singles chart for the second week in June with more more than 160,000 requests.

Sorry eff, that's the full side article from the magazine, no urls, nothing. I can only assume from either legitimate (pay me money) sources or perhaps somewhere on the BBC.

(Failing that, I'm pretty sure some Litsters have knowledge of "illegal" (recently won court case over bit torrent illegal) file sharing sites. I'm probably not allowed to post this link )

No shit!

Who would have thought that anything as lyric as Jamster’s “Crazy Frog” (W’everTF that is) could get beaten out by a no-talent upstart like Ludwig V.

What, you haven't already ripped it to mp3 from the CD sitting in the stack by your computer speaker like the rest of us?

(It's in between the Kruger Brothers' Carolina Scrapbook and the Glen Miller CD's, just to the left of Queen's Greatest Hits volume 2.)

Go Ludwig! Now we just need that punk Amadeus to get into the running.

Thanks for the post, Gauche - immensely cheering.

Amadeus, Amadeus .. Amadeus
Amadeus, Amadeus .. Amadeus
Amadeus, Amadeus .. oh oh Amadeus

hehe.

I fucking hate cell phones.

If they only weren't so bloody useful.
