Hi all.

Apologies for taking my ball home and not playing out for the last couple of Goodness knows how longs but I've been spinning a yarn that is practically finished, give or take a day or two, a re-read and editing, which may turn it into a while longer than I anticipate especially since my last rushed attempt, which I dumped thanks to Mr. Reams who gave me a good slap round the face and pointed out how terrible it was.

N.B: I mean the thanks sincerely, Mr. Reams, I just wanted to get something out there to refresh those who were good enough to read, rate and comment on my last submission. Apologies for wasting your time.

I digress, as I so often do. Anyway... This new tale has Violence, sexual violence, drug/alcohol abuse and a multitude of categories. Before I'm even tempted to request the time of an Editor again I wondered if I could get a link or two to some of the Lit stories that push, but do not cross, the boundaries. I don't refer to bad spelling or grammar either. I mean subject matter.

I have read the rules of submission but am also aware that rules don't always break when you push them.

The rules at lit are; No bestiality (but werewolves are okay), and no sex under the age of 18. Supposedly, no rape either, but you can usually call it non consent instead.

Scat and piss play are fine, include them in the tags.

As regards categories, the hierarchy is; what offends the most people trumps what offends fewer, E.G. men touching each other is more offensive (at least in the heteronormative USA where the site is located) than a woman being raped.

It is very angsty, angry and dark due to the protagonist's past.

Be careful about that.

I had a bit in my story where an adult character threatened a child that he had raped not to tell his family. Nothing about the rape actually there.

They pulled the story. I brushed it off, I edited it to make it a little less gritty and tried to emphasize that there was no sex happening.

They refused.

So now I just put the story back up and completely cut it out. It was an important plot point. In the intro I just had to say "Ben gets raped by mark. This is the only place I can tell you that. If I put it in the story, the story will be pulled again."

Just be super-careful about references. and occasionally check your story. My story was up for almost a year before it got pulled.

I'll try and find it amongst your many tales. A link to the specific tale would be nice but as all your stories are well rated I think it'll be more enjoyable seeking it out.
