Started a different thread on this since it's a slight shift from the previous topic. Okay- the Magic Shaving Powder. I got it. Now, I know that the instructions on things like Nair, Hair dye, and similarly chemicalish products are often excessively cautionary, and that many such products have tricks one can do to improve their effects that are never on the label.

Anybody who uses this stuff have any such suggestions or tips or things I should know about it?

(And I thought someone suggested the stuff was expensive- but it only cost me 3 bucks. Did I get the wrong product, or what?)

Examines the can ...

Darlin' ... this is flea powder ...

You have the right stuff.

I use the creme that comes in a tube. There's no mixing then.

I haven't ever used the powder so i'm not sure if i can give you any tips to mix. (The creme is pretty thick.)

Make sure you do the patch test and that your skin is completely dry.

If you have specific questions, feel free to PM me.

Ooops, almost forgot.

Your powder actually was expensive, the powder is $2.10 and the creme $2.40 here. :)

The judges huddled following your bonus point round.

Your failure to complete da funny with the appropriate punch line ...

not Master-bate

Cruel....just cruel.

Don't listen to him Techno. I'm gettin' a long list of his sins as we speak from Esclava.

Pleasure as always to see you Sir, but I can't let you terrorize defenseless little girls, now can I?

I think he just likes making me blush. Stripping me naked in public won't make me blush. Correcting me for poor spelling/grammar/etc... turns me NICE and red. :D

Speaking of baiting...

You're startin' to seem to miss the guy! (Are you nursing a secret crush you haven't shared yet- or are you just stalking him? ;)

stalk stalk... didn't you notice?

It's always nice to have a troll to bat around. :catroar: (Especially cuz the Doms around here get so annoyed after a while. Nice to have somebody to aggravate that I don't feel a bit bad about. Only problem: he was such a boring, one-note lil squeaker. I really prefer a troll with a bit more play in him.) :D

Tried It... Not thrilled.

Well I tried the Magic Shave. Was less than impressed. It seemed to have about the same effect as Nair or Neet. Less than happy reduction of stubble, painful skin, and no ability to re-apply for some 36 hours after.

Then again, I bought the "Skin-Care formula, with Aloe", which version might not work as well as the original. Also, is it possible I'm having the bad results because I never let stuff down there get longer than stubble? (As I said, I'm on 24/7 call, and need to find some way to be perfectly shaven at least more often than not...)

Any thoughts, folks? Suggestions?

(I'm starting to reconsider total waxing, (wince) since lasers are not an affordable option for me...)

I have two questions:

1. Did you leave the Magic on for the full 9 minutes?

2. How liberally did you apply it? You really have to totally cover the entire area -- my term is slather it on.

Also, you might want to try the Regular Formula, it sounds like you got the one for Sensitive Skin. I have problems with the Sensitive formula but the Regular One works well.

The can says 5-7, and it was uncomfortable at 4...

That could be it. By the instrucions, it doesn't mix very thick. I'll try a thicker mix. The pain is the least of my worries, really.

I'll try that next, if this time it fails.

Then, the veet, if I can find it and afford it. *S* Thanx, chicas!

I can't help with the mixing. I buy the Magic creme so there's no mixing involved. The creme says 6-9 minutes.

Was your skin totally, completely dry when you began?

i mixed mine up too thin and it didnt work. then i made it thicker and it worked a little better, but i also got the kind for sensitive skin. i agree that the regular would probably work better and it is EVEN cheaper!
