My teen loves it! This is a big deal since she generally detests fiction.

That's telling. Generally a dislike of fiction stems from too much or fractured reality IRL.

Huh. She's always been drawn to documentaries and science shows. How It's Made and Mythbusters are faves along with WWII and Civil War docs. Lately she's hooked on Ted Talks. She doesn't like mindless stuff.

To Kill a Mockingbird was fiction.

That's one of the most amazing novels I've read, the kind that sticks with you for years.

She has a phenomenal ELA teacher this year and I'm sure she'll come around. She scoffs at trendy books, especially. I am eager to find out which books finally get to her.
