It has come to my attention that the right-wing lobby - pro excessive profit, price fixing, protectionist and isolationist - is directly repsonsible for maintiaing artificially high prices for many goods and commodities.
Think of all the things we take for granted - oil, gas, electricity, water to name but a few. All these industries price within secretly agreed pricing margins so effectively there is no free market and thus our "choice" is illusory.
So-called price wars only serve to emphasise the problem. Businesses cannot maintain so-called loss-leaders indefinately or they will become bankrupt. This suggests that big business still makes money even under such "cut-throat" conditions. Who's bein screwed here? Thats right you and me.
It is absurd that in the UK farmers are being paid less for their milk, eggs etc than it costs to produce them because of the buying power of the major supermarkets.
until the right-wing/business lobby is brought to heel then the economy will continue in it's terminal decline due to the all pervading influence of such a stifling, moribund philosophy.
This is not a rant but sounds spookily familiar to me.
