I love getting feedback on my threads. It's one of the things that brightens my day.

I'd just like to thank everyone who has given me feedback, but especially Imhotep and Zingiber. They have far and away captured the gold and silver medal on feedback. Every thread I add to their stories gets rated and commented on by them. I really appreciate it.

For those who give feedback, let me say that unless you specifically want to be anonymous, please sign your feedback. It helps the author to know whether this is editor feedback or reader feedback.

Thanks again to Imhotep and Zingiber and the rest.

I thank Torg for his kind words, and encourage all those who rate a thread to leave comments as well, good or bad.

Thanks, Torg, I appreciate your kind words!

And Imhotep, I can tell you've also been generous in your comments on my threads.

For a long while I didn't get much feedback myself, but it started picking up a couple years ago. Out of 558 threads, I have 104 feedback notes. The better threads got multiple positive comments.

I do try and encourage anyone who rates to comment. It helps to put the number in context, "What did you mean by that 3?" "Did a 4 mean I fell short in some way, or that this thread was good but not excellent?"

I used to be bothered if I got a rating without a comment. I was baffled, wondering where I fell short. Sometimes I was surprised that someone would bother to rate a thread that amounted to a brief decision-point. Mostly I've given up second-guessing the raters now.
