Don't forget the conventional wisdom that Mayor Faulconer of San Diego was supposed to benefit from the attention being lavished on Elder - he was supposed to emerge as the sensible Republican alternative. Last I heard, he wasn't even cracking 20% in San Diego!

Not because he's Black. Because he supports oppression of his fellow Black Americans for his own personal edification. That's exactly what an Uncle Tom is, whether you find the term racist or not (reasonable people can disagree about that).
