My backers finally pulled out of my book project - some of you will know what I'm talking about.

They wanted to water down the proposal until it was a shadow of the original, they may be right, but it is not what I want to spend time working at when I think the approach is wrong. Still... I'm left with a hatfull of ideas, contacts and enhancements that I might otherwise not have realised had I not gone through the process.

It doesn't end here

What EL said. Selling is good. Selling out is something else.

Exxon has the same problems, so maybe youre going in the right direction.

Thank you EL & Liar... JBJ you are still on ignore, but thanks anyway

I put together a damn good business plan, if I say so myself. The key element is that it had to be free to post and free to read... the difficulty being how to renumerate contributors. The site is aimed at unpublished novel length works. My investors are not prepared to fund without demonstration of a working concept, which essentially means I have to write the program, and that will push my skill beyond my current capability. It will probably take me several months but I'll stick at it and see where it takes me.

Good for you, neon.

Best of luck!
