It's the day after Canadian Thanksgiving, but I think this thread is well past due.
Just a place to say thank you to friends, family, lovers, anyone you want.

Myself, first I want to say thank you to all my friends from the SF thread, Defining Love Thread and the Michigan thread. I'd name you all, but then this post would be WAY too long.

I came here a lonely man, with my heart locked up, and there are a few that are very special to me.

First, one of the sweetest people on the boards, she proved I still had a heart. (((C)))

Second, a brat, who kicked and scratched, until she opened that locked door a crack. (((V)))

Third, a lady who put her foot in that crack, wouldn't let it close, waited, and then gently pushed the door open. All she has to do, is step through anytime. ((((((((L))))))))

Fourth and Fifth are two young ladies from different continents that have become like family to me. I feel every hurt they do, and wish they could both receive more than they could imagine.

I thank Kiss for starting the Today thread which introduced me to some wonderful people and gave me a reason to stay on Lit.

The Today group-DGO & Tony for sharing their flirtation, Toni, Noor (who wears me out with all of her activities), Joey & Murphy, and so many others.

A couple of gentlemen who so sweet to me, Higher and Wanderer.

A belated thank you to MT, which can be found in the pondering thread--easily one of the most gracious and unique compliments I've ever received and boy did it warm my heart. Thank you.


I thank Cate, my twin in another life, for all of the support she's given me privately. Cate--you are so very dear to me and I love how you manage to have so much good cheer and love for everyone.

And a thank you to someone who would like to remain private. He will know who he is and I thank him for awakening a side of me that I had buried for so long. It's been 6 months and I still look forward to hearing from him every day.

What a great idea MT

There are many people I would like to thank for making this English upstart so welcome in the playground.

The first person I have to thank is Denae partly because she mentioned me but mainly because she has become a dear friend. Unfortunately we rarely seem to be on at the same time - I would love to see more of you.

Second I have to thank Cate - who I think can be best be described as my sparring partner, thanks Cate

Third has to be DGO - for her wit, intelligence and (in)sanity

Fourth Sapphiregem who became a kindred spirit with her taste in music

Fifth, a very Tasty lady who has sometimes stayed up all night just to chat to me!

Sixth an Irish Lepreminx - no more needs to be said.

There isn't enough room to mention all the many other people within these threads with whom I have had regular interaction but thanks to them as well.

I'd like to thank the academy and producers....... OK! Obligatory smartass comment over.

Nice idea MT. Thanksgiving and Valentines are my favorite holidays because they are about gratitude and love, of which I have an abundance in my life ~ I am so, so lucky.

There is no easy way to thank all the people in my life that have helped me learn, grow, laugh, cry, feel and love without, first missing someone, secondly without God actually. I happen to believe, so He is the source for what is in my life. I have been blessed in so many ways, I will never know the magnitude of all those gifts in this life but I will try to use everyone until they are gone.

There are some people in my life that have made a huge difference, both in my offline life and online, since they all are part of my entire life I won't separate them.

I have a very best friend who showed up in my life not all that long ago. The impact in my life has been monumental. He has taught me so much I can't begin to explain. I just love him and all he has been for me and know we will be friends for life, and if I'm lucky in the next life too.


There is another person who has been on my side for about four years now. Without her I am not sure I would be alive inside. I know she was put into my life for me to live and I am doing just that. There are others that have been there in the last years that have kept me alive, physically, damn nice folks too. I am grateful to them all, even those that made mistakes, at least they kept me breathing so I could live this life. Even though I moan and groan about them, I am blessed they are there and they care.

There are people I've met along my way that have come in and out of my life for so many reasons ~ I won't bore you all. I know them all and wish I had been aware enough to say thank you to those I didn't know wouldn't be staying long, I do thank them all.

There are friends I have had since childhood and we only need to look at each other to feel a sense of peace. We shared some things we'd rather not have shared but we know when we see each other we made it. I am grateful for them all ~ and there were masses of them (Irish Catholic, need I say more?)!

There are friends I've met here at Lit. that I have no idea how to say thanks. It is as though I have been learning the art of love from you all, perhaps sharpening my knowledge and finding a way to express it differently then I had in the past. Allowing the feeling to just be expressed is gift enough but so many here have gone far and above that. I have been privileged to be allowed to witness some real love here, I don't take that gift lightly. I thank you all. This is a very special community. I do thank Manu and Laurel for keeping it going (Lit. fits and all).

My family has been a blessing, each of them, my parents, especially my Mother ~ what a fantastic lady she was. My siblings, that make me wonder ever day about something ~ good, bad and indifferent I love them all and no matter what experiences I have had know I am who I am because of all of it.

I wonder about those who I haven't met yet ~ yes, more people to talk with!

Life is cool, sometimes a joy, sometimes a pain and certainly everything in between, I will keep saying thank you everyday.

And now I hear the music playing and they're about to pull me off stage........

Feeling very thankful for all the folks at LIT that made me feel at home and welcomed, especially at a time I felt I was losing my mind (and before I realized there was nothing wrong with that!).

LIT lead the way for my special 'Man and I to meet, and I will forever be grateful.

There are so many posters here on the boards that mean a lot to me! I thank ALL of you who have spent time with me here.

LIT has been a part of my life for years now, and some special people have become part of my offline life, and I'm truly happy we're able to keep in contact.

I am most thankful for my Omahaman, who saved my soul, opened my eyes, made me whole and who I'm planning on spending the rest of my life with!
