I turned on CNN tonight and caught something that just moved me beyond tears. I couldn't speak I was so humbled, greatful, and Proud.
CNN was showing the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace in London today.
The Military Band during the Changing of the Guard played the Star Spangled Banner as ordered by Her Royal Majesty the Queen.
It just hit me hard. The guards dressed in their red uniforms playing our National Anthem out of respect, solidarity, and support. Seeing the spectators lined up on both sides of the street crying and emotional as it was played.
Thank you to everyone that has expressed support on this message board. It does mean so much!
If you can, I highly suggest you read a single paragraph on pg 1354 of Tom Clancy's paperback edition of "Executive Orders." The paragraph that starts "Finally". I think it captures the attitude of the USA at this momemt.
