I finished a story that I have had part-completed for a long time.

I have just submitted it so I will have to wait for it to appear.

I thought that Svenskaflicka deserved a story for her interesting contributions to this board but the best I could do was to finish one about a Norwegian girl.

I know Norway isn't Sweden. Please put the baseball bat away. It was the closest I could get without writing a whole new story and my stories are long.

So, dedicated to Svenskaflicka, "Norwegian Petticoat" should appear in the next few days. That should be sooner than the next HP that she really wants.

P.S. Now I suppose I'll have to write a story for DurtGurl. I'm not sure I could write one that would meet with her approval. Could be fun doing the research.

I know it isn't Finland. My dentist comes from Finland. She almost makes me happy to have dental treatment.

Who is Brad Pitt? I've never seen "Snatch". My eddication has been sadly neglected.

Brad Pitt was an Irish decended traveller in the film Snatch, a traveller being a sort of modern day Romany type character. The accent is a mixture of Romany and Irish dialects.

I worked with an Irish tinker, (another name for them), once, it was hell for the first month trying to understand half he said, but you get used to it in the end.

Extracts of dialect being of course:

D'yu loik Daggs, & Oil give yu yer fukinshooter yu cont yu.

He was a Pikey, a gypsy of Irish descent, but of more influences than just Irish. basically, thier dialect was supposed to be a collection of various places that they'd traveled to, making them nearly impossible for anyone to understand.
The movie was pretty good though...

Like all my stories it is long, and Norwegian Petticoat I describe as "very mild". I like the narrator. I actually based her on my brother's Swedish girlfriend of xx year ago but don't tell him. He is bigger than I am.
