On this day of sorrow, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of my literotica friends who helped me so much last year to cope with the tragedy. You gave me great comfort just by being there and listening to my ranting. You also offered me soothing kind words of compassion that kept me going when I needed them the most. I am thinking about you today and I hope in some small way, I was able to console you too.

We fast forward to a full year later ...

Somehow we managed to muddle through a whole year of existence since the September 11th tragedy permanently scarred our spirits. Together we took the grim voyage from shock and horror to tears and finally settled on the dismal reality of acceptance.

I remember President Bush’s post-September 11th visit to ground zero, when I witnessed his compassion and determination amongst all the misery and dismay. He made me feel safe then. He made me believe he was the right man to lead our world in the fight against terrorism and win. I still believe. ____________________________
