The US Senate just passed a $136,000,000,000 (yeah, that's nine zeros) corporate tax cut, the largest in 20 years. Promoted as tax relief for manufacturers to enable them to better compete globally, the bill has something for everyone, including such US manufacturing stalwarts as tobacco farmers and Alaskan fishermen.

It's a good thing those spendthrift Democrats are not in power. Hell, they would probably have included money for NASCAR or some such foolishness.

Now now, Ed.

You wouldn't want those poor businessmen to use their own money would you?

Did they ask the Bank of China first? That is only part of what they owe to the countries of the Far East.

If China sells T-bills, the US economy would be on the skids.

136 billion.....

136 Billion dollars being confiscated from American businessmen, finally returned to its rightful owners is a bad thing?

When the Income Tax was first proposed as legislation, it was struck down as Unconstitutional.

Those beady eyed short fat little parasites known as 'bureaucrats' are convinced they can spend your money better than you can.

Why not just give everything you earn to them? I would not object and I am sure they would accept. They might even send you a receipt, although I doubt a thank you note.

For every percentage point of taxation on a corporation, you pay more for the goods and services they produce.

These collectivist assholes tax your home and property..and the cost of owning a home rises.

They tax in several ways the automobiles and computers you buy.

They tax the gasoline and fuel oil and electricity you buy for energy.

For all you little mamma's boys and mamma's girls...who want a big strong father figure in the form of government to guide your pathetic little lives....why not move to Canada or Great Britain or some third world Scandanavian or European semi socialist hive and wallow in the conrolled lifestyle that produces Volvos, Volkswagens and wine, French or Italian style?

There was a bill introduced somewhere around the turn of the century (1900) to limit the amount that government could legally tax to 10 percent maximum. The bill was defeated in Congress in fear that once given that figure, some damned fool in government would actually try to tax to that maximum level.

Amicus shakes his head in wonder at those who happily give three to five hours each day of their time effort and money to the collectivist dream of utopian equality and then beg to be taxed even more....sighs....worker ants...pissants....or was that peasants.....

.

Bon Voyage!

Amicus

PLEASE stop referring to Great Britain as a third world country. This is the third time you've done it to my note, and its starting to get really annoying.

Fine, you live in the US. Fine, you think its the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Would you like it if I came into your home and started insulting it?

Amicus,

I did. Havn't looked back. And haven't had to sell my house for a major operation, either.

In fact: It's a big world, working pretty well, beyond the boundaries of Amicus' and GWB's scary fantasies.

My Hogwart friend...America is insulted daily on this forum...besides you blokes burned our White House...however...I do rather think that without England and the United States, the very concept of Liberty would be in jeopardy...

I visited your lovely country some years ago...London and a few small towns on the way to Dover....I have only good memories of that...as on the beaches of Normandy...with the US, GB and Canada...you are with us in the Middle East...and so my criticism is somewhat tongue in cheek....and the rumor I had heard that English girls preferred making love standing up against a wall, was certainly not the truth....

amicus...the incorrigible...

Pure....I have always thought I would like a villa in the south of france...or perhaps somewhere near an olive grove in Italy where I might find Liv Tyler still frolicking around....perhaps in another life...sighs....

be well in your new found country...

amicus...
