THIRTEEN SECRETS TO THE PAST​

All throughout there lives they felt something different about themselves, something that just didn't seem quite right. Growing up in their respective towns these complete strangers continued to live their lives in question. With all the occurances that happened around them from the strange to the sublime to the outright madening how could anyone ignore it?

Years in the making these thirteen individuals are on a mission to find answers to a past life they never knew. Each one coming across information about a ghost town that has the powers to exorcise vengeful and unrestful spirits. This ghost town however has another story, and within these walls answers will unfold.

Welcome to a Halloween story, I hope to intrigue a variety of people that are willing to write a story together. I want this story to develop over time; hopefully each character will be different and unique to their respective writer.

To better help you understand, this story takes the concept from Silent Hill and Thirteen Ghosts. I've molded both stories together to tell a story of 13 strangers who meet in a ghost town to find answers about their past in another life. Each one of these individuals have been born with the spirit of their respective ghost which reside in the Black Zodiac.

While life has been pretty normal on one scale of their lives, on the other scale many of these individuals have been experiences reoccuring dreams of a life that doesn't belong to them. Many others have had episodes where they wake up to find themselves in a quandry (whatever that quandry may be is up to the writer).

Basically you will fill out a profile of your character and I will go through them of my own accord. I will pick only 12 of you to participate in this thread. Please do not take it personal should I not pick you, (though I do not claim to be the best writer I am looking for those I know will work to make this story flow).

There will be sexual situations but please do not come into this thread expecting to get a quick fuck session going. I want to write a story, not every complete stranger suddenly jumps in bed with another. While the giest of the story is spread out for you, the meta-plot is left up to the writers to mold and shape as you see fit. So this will be your thread as much as mine; I want this place to flow without my absolute need to be present.

Despite that there will be times that I'll PM a participant with a specific scenario that I'd like for them to play out. Simply look for "Suprise" in your PM box when I contact you. The scenario will vary from person to person, and yes you may alter it and give suggestions as to what you wish to do. And if you so wish, you may also suggest a scenario for me to play out that will help to give your character more depth if need be. I'm not a monster so feel free to collaborate at your hearts content.

THINGS TO KNOW

1. Each character will be possesed with the spirit of a particular Zodiac. I will be randomly selecting the zodiac and PM them to you for private reasons. (Eventually you'll know which zodiac is who so don't worry about giving it away too early or not.)

2. There is not set plot other than everyone somehow hearing about this ghost town and making a trip out. Its up to you to figure out how they heard of the town and how they got there.

3. Each zodiac has a particular character trait. Due to this it would be rather interesting should your character take on these traits through time. However you plan to implement this is up to you, they can take on the traits upon learning about their past or they could already have these traits triggered through whatever means.

4. The setting is in a ghost town, which kind of ghost town I have yet to figure out. Perhaps we can collaborate and come up with something in the thread once I've found my players.

5. This is a private thread so after I choose my players no one else will enter. If you don't think you can keep up with this thread do not participate. Everyone should know my threads tend to move fast depending on the dedication of the people invovled so keep this in consideration (just know I'll try to keep things moving at a gradual pace so no one is left behind).

6. Create a profile I'll pick from the ones listed to decide who gets to participate. I'm looking for detail and interest factor. Spelling and grammer happens so don't focus too much on that but lets not get charried away, spelling everything wrong and wording things incorrectly gets annoying.

7. This is going to be a dark story, I plan on having a lot of very controversial situations and plot developments. There may be moments of unconsenual sex, toture, homosexual situations, murder (yes you're character may die), and plenty of other scenarios as they come to me. If you're not open minded to these situations please do not enter.

8. Other than that have fun... I'll post more information as it comes to me.

THE BLACK ZODIAC

1. The First Born Son
The First Born Son is the ghost of a little boy called Billy Michaels, who was obsessed with cowboy films. Not heeding his parents' advice, he played Cowboys and Indians with a real bow and arrow. The arrow that killed him pierced through the back of the head, and remains with his ghost.

2. The Torso
The Torso is the ghost of a gambler called Jimmy Gambino. Losing everything in a boxing match, he tried to welch on his bet and escape. The mob, which he owed money to, caught up with Gambino and cut him into several pieces, wrapping them in cellophane and dumping the corpse into the ocean.

3. The Bound Woman
The Bound Woman was a cheerleader named Susan LeGrow, who, after cheating on her boyfriend preceding a high school prom, was strangled by him, and was later found buried on the football field.

4. The Withered Lover
The Withered Lover is Jean Kriticos, the wife of Arthur. She tried to save her children in the house fire that changed her family's lives, and though successful, she was burned severely. She was hospitalised, and died in the hospital from her wounds.

5. The Torn Prince
The Torn Prince is the ghost of Royce Clayton, who was a baseball star. He challenged a greaser to a drag race and was killed in the ensuing crash.

6. The Angry Princess
The Angry Princess is Dana Newman, who constantly tried achieving perfection with her looks, despite being beautiful. She gave up eventually after trying to perform cosmetic surgery on herself. She accidentally blinded herself and eventually slit her wrists. She was found with dozens of self-inflicted gashes on her. The movie suggests that she killed herself for another reason (In the scene when she appears in the bathroom, you see the phrase "I'm sorry" on the floor in blood; subtitles also reveal that the blurred, hissing speech that announces her arrival is her whispering "I'm sorry"). "I'm sorry" might also be an expression of regret over having committed suicide in the first place, rather than an apology for something else.

7. The Pilgrimess
The Pilgrimess is the ghost of Isabella Smith, an English woman who travelled across the Atlantic and settled in New England. She was a separatist, and this isolated her from the other townsfolk. She was found guilty of witchcraft, and put to death in the stocks (pillory).

8. The Dire Mother
The Dire Mother is the ghost of Margaret Shelburne, who was an attraction in a carnival due to her being only three feet tall. She was raped by the "tall man" and bore a child, Harold who weighed over 300 pounds (136 kg).

9. The Great Child
Harold was spoiled by his mother, who raised him to be her protector and to exact revenge on the other members of the carnival who kidnapped her as a joke. When he caught up with the culprits he found that his mother had accidentally suffocated to death by the bag that she was kept in. Harold, in rage, took an axe and killed the group of murderers. Later, when the owner of the carnival found out what Harold had done he ordered a mob of people to tear Harold apart.

10. The Hammer
The Hammer is the ghost of a blacksmith, George Markley, who lived in a small town in the 1890s. He was driven out of town after wrongfully being accused of stealing. Enraged, he tracked down the people responsible for killing his wife and kids and hammered them to death. The other townsfolk captured him, and they drove large nails into his body and cut off his hand, replacing it with his hammer.

11. The Jackal
The Jackal is Ryan Kuhn, a psychotic mental patient during the early 20th century with a penchant for attacking women. He was permanently in a straitjacket, and had a metal cage locked around his head. After years of this, he had grown deformed, and reviled human contact. He was the only victim of a fire that broke out in the asylum; he apparently ran into the flames rather than let anyone touch him.

12. The Juggernaut
The Juggernaut was a serial killer named Horace "Breaker" Mahoney. Standing at seven feet tall, he towed broken-down motorists to his junkyard where he murdered them, tearing them apart with his bare hands. Being impossible to take on in close combat, his pursuers opted for the safer method, and brought him down in a hail of bullets.


These are taken from the movie however, I wanted a to play an interesting twist and just use the personality traits of these zodiac ghosts. Perhaps they are looking for redemption, calm, forgiveness or whatever ailed them in their past lives and they feel the person they have bonded themselves with has the ability to set their spirit free. Its up to you to figure out what to do, as the story unfolds. And the thirteenth zodiac is a typically clean character....

13. The Sacrifice
Techincally not a ghost, the sacrifice has been created as a fail safe to harness the burden of all the other ghosts. The sacrifice in and of itself will give his/her life to free the other ghosts from their personal hell. How this person will do it no one knows, but this particular zodiac does have information that the other ghosts find valuable in redeeming their souls.

I suppose I can play this ghost in helping to mold the story unless somoene else wishes to do so.

She looks like your typical brunette with piercing blue eyes. The daughter of a former priest, she has lived her life in and out of Catholic schools and girls homes. She is not a degenerate but, her radical views of religion and everything about it did not fit what her father expected. She was a believer in spirits and ghosts and studied astrology and tarot. She wears a cross around her neck to symbolize her belief in one God. She wears a St. Christopher medal around her arm for her belief in protection. She has a tattoo symbolizing the power of the three on her lower back.

She works with troubled kids at a local shelter. She has seen her share of hatred and power hungry victims and feels that as a person on the whole, she makes a difference if only to put a smile of the face of an abused child.


Her darker side she hides. It is almost as if she was a split personality. She lived in the darkness of the streets feeding off the abuse and the sexual power people could hold over her. Her needs were soon met at an underground club where she could have anything and be anything anyone so desired. She longed to be forced into sex and lived for those nights she was displayed for everyone to see her pain at the pleasure of others.

She longed to be humiliated much as her father had done her when she was younger. When she heard of the ghost town, she was intrigued. A chance to get out from under and explore. What she hoped to find. she didnt really know. Maybe her youth she lost to early. Maybe the right person to understand her. Maybe death.

History: Melody is a very kind soul she is the kind of woman that would do anything for anyone. When she made her first book, half of what she made went to all the charities that are in country. When she was 5 her mother was killed, then when she was 10 her father was killed. No one knew if these two deaths were intertwined or not. But Melody with her age was never saw as the one that had anything to do with the deaths, because she was so withdrawn when her parents died. She was put into the orphanage at the age of 10, and she went into a home that was pretty rough, they beat her up every day of her life. Until they were both thrown in jail for child abuse and that was it. Now when she was 11 she was put into a better home, with time she learned to trust them and everything seemed wonderful, she graduated high school 5 years early and graduated college when she was 20. Now she is a very successful and selfless young woman, who helps anyone she can, even total strangers.

Until 2 years ago, she had been minding her own business one day and a man went right behind her and strangled her, she tried to get away but his hands were to big, her heart was rushing and she couldn't hardly make a sound, she made squeaking sounds but it wasn't good enough, no one got her attention, she saw the man had a gun but he didn't go for it, she knew this was the only way, and with her fast movements she took the gun and shot him right in the stomach, the man died on the spot his blood was on her body, she reported what happened and they believed her but it was never the same again, people always whispered about her now. She dreams about it and is haunted, he almost broke her neck so she had to do it, it was kill or be killed, she couldn't stand it any more. She had to get some help, she saw a shrink and he gave her words of wisdom, he believed she needed to take sleeping pills and something for depression. After 6 months of being pretty good and putting her past behind her she collapsed all of a sudden on the floor and she hit her head.

When she opened up her eyes she saw a small child, she wondered who she was, she was about to say ask who she was but when she blinked the girl was gone, she didn't understand what was going on, was she going insane? Slowly standing up she thought it was just in her head, but it happened again and it happened more frequently, until finally it happens all the time now she can see the dead and they can see her, they can communicate and that doesn't terrify her any more, she is haunted by her past, her arms show slash marks, after she took a life she was into self mutilation, so now she is hunted by her past and now ghosts.

He has brown hair, blue eyes, about 2 days worth of stubble, and usually dressed in shitty clothes.

Evan works at a bar as a part time bouncer.

He's lived in Texas most of his life. Only moved every few months when he got into some shitty fight with a girl, or had one too many run in's with the police. He's a big guy, storng, muscular, and hasn't taken shit from anyone since he was 9 years old.

His fists do most of his talking for him. He has scars from various bar fights all over his body, one across his cheek, which almost looks charming under the right kind of lights.

He loves booze, loves women, and never things twice about making a decision. Hard, sarcastic son of a bitch, who's drunk half the time, and mad as hell the other half.
