The Former Guy 45, Deplorables, Despicables, the Hoodwinked

During remarks on the Senate floor on Monday, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer
called former President Donald Trump “despicable” for spreading the “big lie”
that the election was stolen due to voter fraud.

"Donald Trump lied over and over and over again, poisoning our democracy,
lighting a fire beneath Republican state legislatures, who immediately launched
the most sweeping voter suppression effort in at least 80 years."
- Senator Chuck Schumer

Donald Trump lost an election legitimately He can’t face that—that it was his failure
So he lied and lied He created the Big Lie and it's spurring on GOP legislatures to
voter suppression This Senate will vote tomorrow on moving forward on critical
voting rights legislation

bodysong comment -

This farm barn pile of pre-compost began, when formerly-Republicans under Trump
insisted that there was voter fraud. Trump appointed a commission to find it, and it
came up empty.

If formerly-Republicans could get away with it, they would shout these words -

"Fuck the Constitution to hell, "Because we need to cheat to win, all of you poors
shall lose your right to vote."
It has already been noted that formerly- Republican politicians are willing to
discard the rural vote, in order to suppress the vote. "Trump's naive "Hoodwinked,"
are the first to be betrayed. They do not understand that the media on their TV
has been taken over by liars. The government does not protect the poors from evil.
In California, the state government was successful in protecting pregnant women
from liars. The liars took their case to court, and screamed about their right to lie.
The women's rights to protect their right to remain alive, and in good health, lost
out to the liars.

¯\_('/')_/¯

The first thing formerly-Republicans did, before they "came out,"
as Trump's loyal operatives - was break the gentleman's agreements
among all Senators and Congress Critters, to not abuse failsafe provisions,
or destroy emergency measures built into the system.

Even though Trump used a sledge hammer on anything vulnerable,
Grandpa Joe Biden is attempting to preserve the Presidency for the
future generations of America.

That's right, in order not to destroy something important, Trump is getting away with
shit he said.

This scam has served Trump throught his adult life - shave his pubes and grab
the other guy by the shorthairs. He took that scam to the Oval office.

FFS, rightwing Media clownette, Kellyanne Conway's words come back to haunt us -
"because Trump is president, everything he does is presidential."

More fuckery, of TFG45's regime

Trump wanted his Justice Department to stop “Saturday Night Live” from teasing
him. “In March 2019, the then-president of the United States had just watched
an episode of the long-running, liberal-leaning NBC sketch comedy series
(it wasn’t even a new episode, it was a rerun), and grew immediately incensed
that the show was gently mocking him,” the Daily Beast’s Asawin Suebsaeng
and Adam Rawnsley report. “Trump went farther than simply tweeting his
displeasure with the late-night comedians and SNL writers’ room. ...
According to two people familiar with the matter, Trump had asked advisers
and lawyers in early 2019 about what the Federal Communications Commission,
the courts systems, and — most confusingly to some Trump lieutenants —
the Department of Justice could do to probe or mitigate SNL, Jimmy Kimmel,
and other late-night comedy mischief-makers.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ggests-democrats-need-new-voting-rights-plan/

“Can something else be done about it?” Trump allegedly asked.

“I’ll look into it,” the source, described as having a legal degree, reportedly
responded before telling The Daily Beast that they, in fact, never “looked into it.”

Trump apparently didn’t understand that “SNL” is clearly a satirical show, and satire
is not subject to the same “equal time” rules governing certain political speech on TV
and radio.

Formerly-Republicans continue on their merry way, following their well worn path.
They take their chances, and gamble on defiance. Does not matter to them, if it
is illegal, or against the Constitution.

Vice President Kamala Harris visited the US/Mexico border on Friday
She said that El Paso is the site of the "launch" of the child separation program.

Defiant Homeland Security Secretary Defends Family Separations

2017 Kirstjen Nielsen begins her field test of child separation in El Paso.

Americans are left with the the image of a crying terrified toddler.
Thousands of traumatised toddlers, separated from their parents.
Some land in prisons for children, that are so poorly run, all there
is, are the guards. The medical attention the children get, is sedatives.

(The sad fact, that in June 2021 illegal immigrants from Trump's incomplete
border fence system are suffering head injuries. They crack their skulls,
just like the sedated children in Kirstjen Nielsen's care.)

Trump's Dog Kennels for Kids

The childcare given to toddlers and babies, is from the jailed children.
Far from the lie that America was sold by American formerly-Republican women,
This was no upper-class daycare, or summer camp. It was a dog kennel meant for strays.

Trump treated them like dogs. Trump never liked dogs.

formerly-Republicans are determined to hang onto, and add to,
as many Senators and Congress Critters, as they can.

FormerGuy45, Trumpie Pants, is out there stumping in the hot sun, for candidates,
and not himself, because there are a number of current formerly-Republicans that
have stuck their necks out, and only they know why. Could be because they have
voters in their area, that have lost their toleration of Trump's trick of promising the
moon and stars, and leaving their pockets emptier than before they shook Trump's
hand. Trump fucked over many supporters, and their villages, hamlets, and towns.
Could just be the candidate wanted to present the voters a candidate that appealed
to voters that did not want to vote for a Democrat, but did not like voting for just
another corrupt servant to Trump. Or, perhaps, the Trump machine told them to
fall on their sword, so that formerly-Republican could pretend that there are sane
Republicans remaining under the GOP Big Tent. These days, who would know ?
2021, and the GOP Big Tent is the Fortress of Secrecy.

The MAGA machine has pulled off a Trump trick. The parts of the country that
always took pride in being Republican, their churches, their bibles, their guns,
their unified towns, have found that MAGAand Trump has them by the short hairs.
They cannot turn against their way of life, and vote Democrat. There are no
Republicans left to vote for. The offerings are formerly-Republicans, or nothing
at all.

Under the GOP Big Tent, are unhinged fanatics of many stripes, that do not
give-a-fuck about anything but punishing Democrats for opposing their will,
and not letting them make their fantasy of the death of American Democracy,
and the rise of American Fascism come true.

The fantasy fanatics walked away from Trump's Potemkin perfomance, dissappointed.
Trump did not shout that he would be their President, again.

It is true that there is only a thin slice of the voter population whole that tips
the balance. Every voter counts.

Why would states that have a formerly-Republican hierarchy put so much effort
into shoving voters out their opportunity to vote ? FFS, they are cutting off
Democrat officials from of their right to participate, and blocking them off from
powers of their office. (Which will be restored, once a corrupted MAGA -friendly
official can be shoved into place.)

Who's really trying to defund police?

Chris Wallace takes to task Republican Rep. Jim Banks

June 27, 2021

It seldom takes much to put a Republican in his or her place. Simple facts
do it on most occasions, and Fox News anchor Chris Wallace had plenty
of them for GOP Rep. Jim Banks on “Fox News Sunday.” Wallace responded
to Banks' accusation that Democrats opposing police brutality are to blame
for increasing crime rates with a clip of the top Democrat, President Joe Biden
promoting his $350 billion anti-crime plan.

“That means more police officers, more nurses, more counselors, more social workers,
more community violence interrupters to help resolve issues before they escalate into
crimes,” Biden said.

Wallace pointed out that Banks opposed the spending, which was part of the American
Rescue Plan, as well as every other Republican in Congress. “Congressman Banks, you
voted against that package, against the $350 billion, just like every other Republican in
the House and Senate, so can't you make the argument that it’s you and the Republicans
who are defunding the police?” Wallace asked.

- Daily Kos

Refusing to throw more money at a perceived problem is not "defunding."

McCarthy threatens committee assignments.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is attempting to enforce unity in his caucus
and not for the side of law and order and democracy.

"...at a private meeting with freshman House Republicans, he promised to blackball
any of them who took a seat on the new select committee investigating the Jan. 6th
Capitol attack. They would not receive any committee assignments from Republican
leadership, McCarthy told them.

(source- Punchbowl News)

Whether that would extend to stripping any committee assignments from Republicans
who accept seats on that committee—the two most likely are Reps. Liz Cheney of
Wyoming or Adam Kinzinger of Illinois—isn't clear, but that certainly is an implied
threat. To which Kinzinger had a salty response:

“Who gives a shit?” Kinzinger told reporters, per @AnnieGrayerCNN,
when asked about McCarthy’s threat that members who accept any Pelosi
request to serve on Jan. 6 select committee will lose rest of their committee
slots

Intellectually and morally bankrupt Rep. Kevin McCarthy
makes farce of Congress with new 'policy' panels

June 29, 2021

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is apparently going to try to answer
the new House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection with a
bunch of task forces, elevating some of the very members who could become
targets of investigation. He's announced seven new "issue-specific task forces"
which are supposed to "identify and develop policy solutions to the issues
facing the American people."

(Are w expected to believe that sound policy shall result from these panels ?)

You know it's total bullshit when you see the "Future of American Freedoms" group
which is supposed to be "defending foundational American freedoms, including the
freedom of speech, freedom of worship, and the right to bear arms" and "restor[ing]
American ideals like the rule of law and separation of powers." It's headed up by Rep.
Jim Jordan, who is well known for his serious, policy-minded approach to his job,
and includes both Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert.

It will also counter "liberal cancel culture." So, the insurrectionist wing of the caucus
will be in charge of freedom and the rule of law, god help us, which will probably
just end up with a recommendation that every citizen be gifted with an AR-15 at
birth.

July 4, 2021

An arrest has been made after a vehicle was reportedly driven toward a crowd
of pedestrians on the Washington Monument grounds on Saturday evening,
the U.S. Park Police said.

The vehicle struck a security barrier about 7:30 p.m. on the southeast side
of the grounds and no pedestrians were injured, the park police said.

The park police said Jack Joseph Dessin, 38, of New Jersey, was arrested on charges
of assault with a dangerous weapon (automobile) and destruction of government
property.

Photos were posted on Twitter on Saturday night of a vehicle that came to rest
near a low retaining wall around the monument.

Two or more signs appeared to be fastened to the vehicle. It was not clear what they said.

(the vehicle is stopped inside the pedestrian walkway, after hitting the wall)

hints of a perhaps, disordered mind at the wheel-

Witness Michael Vachon rescued the driver from the vehicle after it smashed
into a wall near the monument, according to WRC. After Vachon inquired
about the driver’s situation, the motorist told him he was “dying.”

“And he said, ‘The government is attempting to assassinate me.’
‘The government isn’t trying to murder you,’ I say.
Vachnon said, ‘Lie down.’

When another bystander questioned him about his motivation, he retorted
with expletives regarding Facebook, Google, and Twitter, according to WRC.
