First things first, I am a nerdy guy, looking for a lady. Age is not important.

I'm going to age myself a bit, by trying to relive something from my college days, about a decade-and-a-half ago.

Back then, texting was the hot new thing. Somehow, we all have more phone numbers then we would knew what to do with, from people we probably didn't know, yet I remember having a blast.

We would flirt and play, with little care about with who and why. We would have plenty of dumb conversations revolving around things like books, video games, movies and music. Sometimes have a heavy discussion involving philosophy and religion. Help each other sort through our emotions that come from just, living life. And yes, plenty of talks helping each other get off and explore their sexuality.

There was something magical about instantly having a connection with another person, without all the baggage that comes with actually knowing someone. Like being part of a secret club, where we would wear our nicknames, like a masquerade mask. Allowing us to be honest in a way that is frowned upon, in polite society. Teasing and having fun while lifting each other up. Exploring ideas and kinks in a judgment free space.

Years later, I find myself working at a regular job with stable hours and surrounded by "proper" adults. I miss the days when a new message was most likely a fun piece of nonsense, instead of something probably work related.

Does anyone feel the same? I would like to find somebody interested in writing overly long emails, then hopefully exchange numbers and become texting playmates. (I am aware that "texting playmates" is a terrible moniker, but it is entirely way past my bed time, and I couldn't think of anything clever)
