Text format

Good morning folks
I wonder if any of you can give me a simple steer on text format. My last story was uploaded with some dialogue in italics. However, when it was published the italics showed as plain text making the dialogue within dialogue clumsy to read.
I create my writing in the Notes app on an iPhone and simply copy and paste it into Literotica’s publishing box.
I would appreciate some guidance as to how to avoid uploaded italic text being co vertex to plain text when published.
