testing the poll vote theory

How did you vote?

What about the non-anonymous polls? Is it just the thread starter that can see who voted?

I knew -call me miss know it all now, if you like, and kiss my kinky boots ;)

anonymous polls (as far as I can tell) have the end figures in black. Non-anonymous polls have the figure in blue which is a link.

I'd have to start another thread to find about the poll-posters viewability. Best ask someone who posted one of those.

"Be advised that this is a public poll: other users can see the choice(s) you selected."

This warning appears above a non-anonymous poll in the same font as the poll, just above the line box that surrounds the poll questions, in black type. If someone does not recognize the warning, it is not because it isn't stated clearly. Someone running through a stopsign because they didn't see it is still running a stop sign.

My personal stance is I don't voice an opinion I'm not willing to put my name on in public. And I read things before I take action because if I don't like what happens afterwards, it is my own fault for not thinking before I act. That's the standard to which I hold myself -- other people have different ideas and are entitled to believe and act as they choose.

I knew about public polls, but I voted it was news to me anyhow just because I'm always so out of it. Everything is news to me.

For example, I just found out that money's been invented. Who knew?

But that disappears as soon as you vote in it.

Hey, you can buy stuff with that, did you know? :D

It does, but when looking at the poll results in public polls, everyone can see who voted by clicking on the number of votes a poll option has. I don't know if it's the same in all skins, but in mine, the vote numbers are underlined for a public poll, and not underlined for an anonymous poll.

If you set up an anonymous poll, the poll starter cannot see who voted for which option.
