Ugh, you're better than me, then! I get to sleep on the couch at work once my clients are asleep, but it's never solid sleep, so I'm always exhausted when I get home

first shift was 50 minutes late so i didnt even get home til after 9am cuz i had to stop at the store

I usually take the bus to and from work, so I know all about inconvenience... no one is ever on time, so what they don't realize is that when they're late, they make me have to wait at the bus stop even later Inconsiderate fuckers!

haha the funny part is the boss (her dad) had come in this morning and i said something to him about her being late lately
and he said she didnt have a reason to be and would talk to her
then she calls me at 810 (im supposed to be out of there by 8) and said she JUST woke up she would be in asap.... she walks in at 850
im seriously sitting there smirking the whole time, cuz it was the worst possible day for her to be late

Hopefully he will be the fair boss who kicks her ass for it My boss is late all the time during the week- shifts start at 7am, and no one ever shows up before 7:30am... but at least I have to be there until 8am, so it doesn't make me late... on the contrary, I usually get to leave early during the week, so I can make the bus and be home by 8am, which is nice when I have class during the week

That is odd- but perhaps he realizes that paying you an extra hour every time his daughter feels like sleeping in just isn't worth it

Oh man, so there is no chance for rest, eh? I've worked night shifts where I've had to stay awake before, and it can be rough!

last night was horrible, didnt have to be there til 10pm, so i already work 10 hour nights, so her being late pissed me off
but i woke up at 430 pm and couldnt get back to sleep

That does suck! I never sleep before going in- settling for bed usually isn't a problem for my clients- it's the mornings that are iffy... I never know if my youngest client is going to wake up at 5am and make noise And now, he's opening his bedroom door and peeking at me sleeping on the couch (well, he thinks I'm sleeping- but as soon as his door opens I'm awake ).

I work every other weekend... Tues/Fri/Sat/Sun one week, and Wed/Thurs/Fri the next.

But I rarely have plans even when I am off because school and exhaustion takes up so much of my time These are the best days of our lives, right?
