Temporary Body Art?

Does anyone enjoy this sort of thing? Where does it stem from?

Examples: markers, paint (poster, tempera, watercolor), makeup, pens, etc.

It would be interesting to see if anyone else has the same interest in this that I do.

i like temporary markings. i got a very nice henna tattoo on the inside of my right arm a few months ago, and made sure to have a pawprint (our symbol for "puppy") included in the design to mark that i was his.

How long does good quality henna last, by the way?

it can last a couple weeks depending on your skin tone (i have very fair skin), how you take care of it, the type of ingrdiants, how long you leave it on the day it gets done, etc

Ah, okay. Couple weeks sounds about right. We used to use mendhi in high school (I have fair skin too), but it never lasted that long.

mine are done with a knife & pinwheels ....
"scratches" in the skin I guess...
they last about 2-4 days depending on the pressure He applies...

the "TOW" scar was done with a violet Wand...
lasted about 4 months before it started to fade...
it is still 1/2 there at almost 5 months after being done...

Also I was in a doodling mood one day at work & started by outlining my above mentioned TOW scar & just kept doodling... had sleeves drawn by the time my truck was loaded... done with blue & black ball point pen...

Ouch. It looks pretty cool and that's something I didn't think about when I was writing my initial post, but I love the sensation of paint and markers on my skin.

Yours are pretty hot though.

Yeah, I've had similar statements written on various parts of my body, in red permanent marker.

It is a collaboration, the model my slave, the spider my pet, the body painting was done by an amazingly talented artist, and the photographer has an amazing eye for an image.
