What is your favourite flavour... um... what shall I call it...? I know!

Ice cream!!!

Lou ;)

Hey Lou, glad to have the honor of posting first.
Mine is Vanilla.
You can imagine that I broke my 2 year ban of drinking coke, when Vanilla Coke hit the shelves over here a couple of months ago. :)
Also in Ice Cream, and everything else.

That's very cool, Snoop.

Personally, I can't get enough beef. Beef flavoured ice cream is a bit odd, though. ;)

Hmmhmm, I wouldn't have thought that you were the kinda person looking for beef, lol.

Where would the world be without chocolate, of course you guys across the pond have Cadbury! Love, love, love the mini eggs. I however am close to Hershey, so It's available in abundance.

Beef flavored ice cream? I think they have that in Texas.

Although I'm more for Vanilla, I have to say I think one of the biggest achievements of modern technolgy and the human mind besides Space Travel or Artificial Intelligence is the fact that people found out, 'Chocolate sets free endorphines (spelling?)'
So chocolate always comes in handy.

I voted chocolate among the list, but really it's Haagen Daaz's "Rum Raisin", followed by their "Pistachio".

Some time ago I saw a documentary on tv about some ice-cream manufacturers in the US. Those guys over there really are geniouses in creating crazy ice-cream-flavors. Over here it's only the 'usual' ones. That sucks. (Though it might be better for my figure)

I love pumpkin flavored ice cream in the fall. Yummy. I did have some blackforest and banana split flavored at this little place over the summer and I would drive the 100 or so miles to just go and have it again.

I think my world revolves around food.

I voted for chocolate, but my favorite flavor (leaving ice cream out of the equation) is clove.

Yesterday I ate some Rum Raisin and Coffee ice cream with hot black chocolate topping at Hagen Daaz, between dinner and movie, and it did something weird to my vocal cords. I completely lost my voice for 2 hours... :(

My favourite is lemon sorbet, especially if it comes from Vivoli, in Florence.

If we're talking sorbet, my favorite is blueberry. Lemon takes a very close second, though.

I love Raspberry sorbet.....was'nt that a song by Prince?

Yes, being serious for a moment (ha!), I've got to say chocolate ice cream is my favourite, especially Cadbury's Dairy Milk ice cream, with little chunks of chocolate. Yum!

Lou

I put chocholate but it's really heavenly hash. I havent' had it in soooooooooo long. Fish Food is good too.

I like chocolaty and creamy flavors that I don't have to chew. Even before my tooth problems, I've never really liked to chew icecream:)

Rasberry is a big top of the list one too. Fruit flavors are good. Sherbert is good, Sorbet:rolleyes: :D is good. Itallian Ice is very very good.

My boyfriend always buys vanilla:(

Aw, Sweetie, that makes me so sad. I'm sorry to say this but I dislike the boy more and more. :( Or rather, you deserve a better one.

Well, you know there's your stranded-on-a-desert (dessert?)-island-flavor, which for me would probably be chocolate (AKA Vitamin C2), there's your Saturday-night flavor (not sure what that would be for me), your meditation flavor (I find that black walnut is especially profound; the Beethoven of ice cream flavors). Strawberry is a coquettish flavor, fun to flirt with, but you wouldn't want to get serious with her. (She'd cheat on you, I'll bet). Blueberry would make a better match, or one of the various Raspberry sisters. Or good old apple, solid and reliable.

Lemon, lime, and cherry are passe: not flashy enough. Banana's always good for a laugh. Licorice is the villain of flavors for me, never did like him (as a kid I thought that licorice was the polar opposite of vanilla. (It is, isn't it?)

But these are only sweet flavors. Then there are the serious flavors. (I have a lot of friends who follow a dietary rule of never mixing sweet with serious: no fruit with meat, things like that.) In serious, I'm really torn. I do love the flavor of blue cheese, but that's too intense for all the time. Lately wasabi has been turning my head, along with chapotle pepper, although a little of either of these goes a long way. And of course, butter is always hard to beat. Beef or beef/onion has to be in the running. And my main man garlic.

I don't know if you guys have access to Jelly Belly jelly beans. These come in like 60 different flavors, and each flavor is remarkably true and clean. Plus they make very weird flavors: jalapeno, buttered popcorn, bubblegum... The cool thing is, that you can mix these flavors in your mouth to experiment with bizarre combinations. Some are pretty good. Some are quite startling.

Loved your post! You are right, different flavours suit different moods.

We do have those jelly beans here, and we have something even more peculiar: Harry Potter Beans. They have some wierd flavours: mustard, cinnamon, cucumber, and those are the tame ones. I once made the mistake of buying my daughters a pack each (I didn't have a clue they were "odd") and they promptly threw up.

Lou

Yeah, my sons bought those HP beans (my sons are grown men) and gave me one called 'barf'. Very accurate flavor.

Zabaglione flavour with real Marsala (lived on it in Italy last time I was there)
