I will pick my my turkey from the butcher for thanksgiving. Pies will be made. House will be cleaned. A horse may be ridden.
as i was giving him a kiss goodbye this morning, my 4 yr old sleepily threw his arm around my neck for a hug.
highlight of my day, and it wasn't even 7am yet
What's made me happy so far today:
Waking up to the gentle tinkle of my alarm to find a ginger head on my pillow behind me and the dog curled up against my front. She's not supposed to be on the bed anymore but she will find a way to sneak that 75 pound body up there if it's cold.
My youngest put a post it note on my backpack that just said "Love". He's a good kid.
I almost, but did not, forgot my coffee in the Jeep this morning. I remembered just as I hit the lock button. Yay coffee!
When I kissed The Ginger goodbye this morning he said "You always smell so good" and now I've been smiling for the last 2 hours.
Getting a text from my oldest, asking if I'd do her makeup for the Halloween party.
I sure do. And ride to it if I am in the arena.Sounds like a fantastic day!
Do you clean to music?
I sure do. And ride to it if I am in the arena.
Just waking up and to have another day to live. Without that no one has a happy day!
Just spent two nights 2 nights hearing Al Stewart and my friends in his band. Seeing my friends who I don't get to see much and it's not snowy or icy out.
I found the secret of life bro!

I have a contributor's copy of one of my recent pubs coming in the mail, and another payday coming on a short story I got picked up. Little steps. Making my bones![]()
What do you like to listen to?
And did you remember to bring your towel?
Oh...this is kid of embarrassing. But typically something like spirit of the west or great big sea, collective soul, the hip....
Or...African tribal music.
I know that seems odd, but the beats are great and it keeps me moving.
How awesome! Was he here?
Yes, two nights at the Dakota. Will see him again in a few weeks too but not here.
I was fairly subdued through part of the first night but I got better. It was the first time in 25 years that I was at an Al concert and not totally tunnel visioned from beginning to end. The band did a couple songs for me re:Byron which was sweet.
I so want to go on the Irish and Scottish tour this spring.
