This song came into my head today.

I am a child of the 90's and we listened to classic rock along with Nirvana, NIN, Alice in Chains and The Cranberries. I wonder if teens are still listening to Led Zepplin. Music now spans generations, so perhaps.

The number of kids who care about music is lower than in the 80s and 90s. The ones into music often do know classic rock and what's going down today.

Good choice, BTW, I love Presence

For us, music was all important. But we did not have social media as a distraction.

I walked into the store to get a bottle. The 30 something girl at the register had some Led Zepplin playing. Of course, I recognized it right away. I asked her about it and she said that her parents were hippies and that she grew up on classic rock. I told a few stories about the old days and concerts I'd been to.

In the early 2000's when my kid got to be almost a teen, he was listening to the current stuff. I was playing the classics on my computer. One day he asked me why the stuff I listened to was so much better. I told him "talent".

I'm a child of the 90's. I was obsessed with Zeppelin until I heard Nirvana 'Bleach'.. Changed my world.

However, my kids could probably list in order every track on every Radiohead album from' OK Computer' through the 'King of Limbs'.. That and Bright Eyes... My oldest learned' At The Bottom Of Everything' on the Ukulele this summer. She quotes the opening monolog every time I say I love you very very very much.

Sharp kid.

If you're 18 right now, the peak of Zeppelin's career is about as far removed in time for you as Benny Goodman's peak would be to someone of my age.

Rock is the new jazz.

I went to a Hall and Oates concert a couple of months ago and it was full of 19-23-year-olds who knew the lyrics to every song.

But then, a truly great mustache transcends both space and time.

I say yes for the most part. My kids and their friends parents and I cross-pollinated. The kids listen to Zeppelin, Beatles, Stones, Jeff Beck, Eno and a bunch more old school folk.

I like Hall and Oats. :)
