This is a big story locally right now, and I'm curious as to what you all think.
The short version:
The parents of a teenage girl asked her school administration to keep an eye on her because she was "acting strange." Said administration saw her and another girl kissing and holding hands on the school's security cameras, then proceeded to tell/show the girls' parents.
The parents of one of the girls have called her "homosexual activities" an abomination and yanked her out of her school. They are sending her to a private school that advertises "homosexual re-education."
The girls were breaking the rule of no kissing/PDAs on campus, but they aren't being disciplined for that. School district officials aren't taking action against the administrator, but have said it wasn't kosher and it won't happen again.
Long version here
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on anything pertaining to this article and the issues this covers, and some good discussion!
