Now that he was 18, Scottie was finally given the large, luxurious, opulent yacht that belonged to his father, a wealthy industry magnate, into his sole posession for the summer. It looked more like a small cruise ship than a yacht, with its own pool, a small hall that could fit about thirty people comfortably. Yet, one man was more than enough to navigate this marvel of technology.
There is a very quirky little bit of maritime law that Scottie Wiseman very much enjoyed knowing now. It turns out that a country's laws apply only within the land of that country. It is not total anarchy beyond that bount, of course. Instead, the laws of the country where the ship is registered apply on board.
The yacht flew a Dutch flag, as it was registered in Amsterdam... THAT definitely opened up possibilities. Many possibilities.
Of course, Scottie quickly shared the amazing news with his friends, inviting all to take part in a long party-filled, all costs covered cruise around the world an a ship where the law permitted nearly everything imaginable. For the bunch of fun-loving 18 year olds this was a dream come true.
Needless to say, the little fact from maritime law was not advertised before the parents of his friends, and many actually gave their sons and daughters permission to go.
As soon as his last exam was finished, Scottie and his closest buddy Taylor hopped onto a plane bound for Amsterdam where the yacht was docked. There they busied themselves with preparing the yacht, secretly rechristened to "Love Boat" in place of its boring true name, for the voyage.
Anything imaginable that could be fun went in, especially things that weren't common back in America. Stong German beer, liquors and mixes banned in the US, literally heaps of marijuana - everything. Not to mention the usual things - exquisite foods, non-alcoholic drinks, diving gear, seadoos, the best in high-tech entertainment money could buy. The list went on and on, and was so long that Scottie and Taylor, having spent four straight days ordering and overseeing deliveries of all that stuff, were fully exhausted, but still not sure they got everything needed.
Finally, they decided to move on, or they would be late for the scheduled meeting with everyone else back in America. Sailing out, the yacht stopped only briefly in England. It was out of necessity, but while they were there, Scottie found a great rookie rock band - "the Black Brass", and hired the four of them along for the entire duration of the trip. The artists, not that much older than Scottie and his friends themselves, were absolutely extatic.
Several more days at "full ahead" and the "Love Boat" docked in the busy New York harbor, right on time to pick up his friends and friends of his friends. The yacht could hold about twenty more people besides Scottie, Taylor and the band, so he didn't mind if his friends brought along their own buds Scottie did not persoanlly know. The more the merrier.
The crowd soon got settled into the yacht and the next day it steemed off due East, quickly exiting the 20-mile territorial waters of the United States. Now, nothing was off limits.
"WHOOOH!" Scottie yelled out excitedly over the sounds of music blasting on deck as he opened the beer bottle. "Here's to freedom!" His bottle clinked with Tyler's and both guys took a deep drough on their drinks.
"Time to have fun."

I'm very enthusiastic about this, and going for the 'wild party and adventure' kind of thing.
All players are invited, with some exceptions on characters. You can be one of the invited friends, one of the musicians (male or female), or Scottie's best friend Tyler. Please PM me with your character if you'd like to join though. I don't bite, I promise, and I'll welcome almost anyone.
The way I structured this, you can join at any time, and have a character emerge from the "crowd" that is onboard. But it doesn't mean you should hold back on joining if you like it! This isn't going to work unless we have a reasonable number of players, so sign up. NOW!
