Hope this isn't out of place, if so please place in correct area.

I recently submitted a story. I had hopes that I could make changes to it once posted, like the category for instance, I believe is wrong now that I have had a chance to see what all are available.

And - cannot someone make edits to their story once it is posted ? I am always fidgeting with my stories, even months later, changing words here and there to add clarity or composition.

Many of my stories start out as 5-10 pages but months later they are considerably larger due solely to upgrading and editing them.

If you have any story/story submission related queries, post in Author's Hangout. You'd get better results.

As to your question, yes, you can edit your story once you've submitted it. I've edited my stories at least 3 times before it became bearable. If you have a story, say XYZ posted on Literotica and you want to edit it, here's what you should do:

1. Go to your Submit page.

2. Submit a story titled XYZ - EDIT, meaning you're wanting to post an edited version of an already existing story.

3. If you have changed any story matter, post that in the submission body/upload your document.

4. Change the category and put appropriate tags.

5. Submit.

Unless it's an edit to a Literotica contest, it'll take about 7 days for the edited version to be approved and a day for the site to change the existing caches of your story.

Another word of advice, if you feel that you've added a lot to your story's material in terms of plot and characters, take it down and submit it again so that you have views, votes and favourites according to the new matter. Unless you have a large following, changing existing matter in a story doesn't do much.

Hope that helped.
